and Boston.

It's pretty easy to make up a logical 18 team East. the West is trickier. as it would have the new teams. I don't know that they'd do both Seattle and Vancouver and I wonder if TV would want to separate the two LA teams - I suppose that could also be true of NY and Brooklyn. Football splits up the teams in the same market to sweeten separate TV deals.

You only move one team to the East to make it 16/16, and that team should be Minnesota.

Btw, I would be floored if it wasn’t Seattle and Vegas at this point.

Lmao. Pretty risky joke for a local politician to make, though maybe he knows something

When this thread was started 8 years ago I bet nobody even considered the possibility of Dallas getting an expansion team. If the adelscums move the Mavs to Vegas then Dallas and Seattle become the obvious choices. That might be the only holdup on expansion right now

I think the league should expand-plenty of talent around and the pool will grow
Add Seattle/Vegas, move Minny to the East-4 divisions of 8 teams each, 76 game schedule + IST (those games are separate, each team plays a minimum of 2 IST games, teams in Finals play 5)

Talent pool isn't the issue. It's kind of all relative anyways.

The issue is that when you add teams you don't create any more champions, or any more finalists, or any more conference finalists, or any more elite prospects joining the league. You just create more non-contenders that aren't getting hope from elite prospects.
