The other perspective is more fans are starting to see that the roster has major flaws and expecting them to be on the same level as OKC, Boston and the Celtics with some other scheme was unrealistic.
I don't think the roster is as flawed as you're making it out to be. True our bench is a little weak, but our starters are some of the most talented in the league. I just don't think that we have the right coach to play them to their strengths and put them in the right position to more easily win games. Obviously, Brunson is out right now, but we have 2 current All Stars and guys like OG and Mikal aren't too far behind talent wise. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to handle teams like San Antonio and Charlotte even with Brunson down and it's inexcusable to consistently get blown out by the top contenders in the league.
In the big picture losing to San Antonio and Charlotte in the middle of the season does not matter. Overall I think this is the 4th best team in the league when healthy and we have not played the best teams with Mitch healthy yet.
The bench is a disaster and the biggest reason IMO why they cant compete with the top teams. Its funny seeing Knicks fans yell at Thibs to get Precious out the game because he sucks, get Shamet out, get Payne out, get Hart out etc.. then you realize nobody is left except more minutes for the starters
They just dont have the talent on both sides and depth to compete with OKC and Boston. Kolek minutes and a different KAT scheme are just window dressing, you need more real talent and roster balance.
