Lively, Klay, Naji, 2025 first, 2029 LAL first.. Include 1-3 of PJ, Gafford, Hardy+Powell developing on the position/salary need? Ideally not PJ?

Who is the best player that package brings back?

Is it Sabonis? Is it Bam? I don’t think so but struggling to see the next group down?

Surely a silly thing, but were the SPURS convinced of Fox, or was it more of a signing because he was within reach?

Fox choose SAS. His family is from Houston and his wife is San Antonio. And they have Wemby.

SAS just had to pay enough to make it worth it for Sac to honor the request. Sac choose to take on Zach’s contract..

I was just looking for a star that’s locked up. I don’t think a team in Dallas’ position should be traded for expirings or 37 year olds really. (But I do understand the KD talk).

So was looking at Sabonis, Bam.. but what’s the next level down?

Rudy? Lauri? OG? Meh.

Feels like there should be a “tier” between those two. And ideally a wing in that tier?

But couldn’t figure one out.

Really just for me.

Sexton and Rudy to Dallas
Klay and Dallas first to Utah
Lively and Martin to Minnesota

Throw in Gafford, Hardy, Powell as salary filler somewhere. Maybe need Prosper to match the salary. Make Utah take on some more minor salary, find a fourth team..

I personally think you're keeping Lively and getting KD if you continue down the Kyrie/AD path

Yeah, I’d explore paying (a lot) more a lesser player than KD - but one that will last through Kyrie/AD decline?

I understand that is probably not the best idea though.

What about a Cam Johnson based deal? Something like Lively, Klay and your '25 1st for Cam?

Brooklyn then trades Claxton to the Lakers for Knecht, Gabe, Maxi and '31 1st?

I don't know how to value Lively since he missed more than half his games his 1st 2 years, but healthy Lively is worth more than CamJo...

Lamelo?
Lively/Christie/Rozier MAVS FRP to HORNETS

Klay/Hardy/Powell to HEAT

Ball to MAVS

Maybe replace the Heat with the Magic for Klay?

In reality, I think this team just needs health and to sign the best playmaker possible, I would go with CP3, I think he can carry the team in the regular season, he is still an elite passer and would serve as a mentor (to select the best guard available in the Draft...)
I would try to move up with the Lakers' pick if necessary for Jakucionis (although he projects in the Mavs range, especially with Fears ascending at full speed) ..
Some green shoots in the middle of all this chaotic situation...
PJ seems like a more than solvent 3rd option (and with room for growth) Marshall is very solid... and some guys at the end of the bench who deserve a place in the NBA... K. Edwards/Kai Jones... which would make Gafford expendable (who expires and can be "replaced" by K. Jones) and Powell, who can also be replaced with a minimum contract...
this would leave us...

AD/Lively/K.Jones
PJ/Martín/O-Max
Klay/Marshall/K.Edwards
Christie/KI/Hardy
*CP3/Draft(Jakucionis)

This would leave us with Gafford/Powell as trading chips.

Gafford to Hawks
Powell+2/3SRP (Hawks )to Wizards
Smart to Mavs

I don’t know if I’m right or not, but I don’t expect Ball to be available without a really big overpay.

CLT feels so close to having something really great with Ball/Miller and the rest of their assets/flexibility. Might not work out but I wouldn’t be giving it up.

As for Dallas? Yeah I do that and add the LAL pick if it matters. Ball might never work out to ever impact wins but would trying. And maybe Ball/PJ are close and it helps lock PJ up.

Kyrie/Ball/Naji/PJ/AD closing group feels good enough to lock up for 3-? Years..
