I would have preferred to make the ones my mom made growing up but she always tells me she didn't have a recipe and just threw **** in the pot.

But the ones in the recipe are really good. Made a triple batch tonight with the last two quarts of chicken stock I had from last weekend.

I love them. This looks interesting. Good idea for the upcoming weekend if hoops.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

BTW the tool that dude uses in the video is absolutely 100% worth picking up. I've used it all the time over the last couple years. Highly recommend.

Interesting, never seen that tool. I rarely eat red meat, and when I do I usually go for a burger, but if it's seriously $5 it's probably worth the couple times a year I might use it. Any non-red meat uses?

I've used it to break up whole pealed tomatoes in sauces, but mostly it's just for breaking up meat. For $5 it's worth having even if you only use it a few times a year IMO.

Made this amazing Butter Chicken Ramen last night. It was very easy to make - it took me about 30 minutes, which is saying something for butter chicken which is usually a time consuming dish. I picked up the seasoning from Fadwa Masala for the butter chicken, and used Shin Ramen (red bag) for the Ramen itself. It was so **** good. Definitely going to be making that again.

This looks quite tasty!

Did you just wing it for the amount of ingredients or are they shown somewhere? I didn't see them when watching the video.

I kind of eyed it based on the video and taste. In the end, I used the following:

For the marinade:
1.5 lbs of chicken thighs
1tb of minced ginger
1tb of minced garlic
1tb of yogurt
A drizzle of olive oil (about 2tb)
1tb of lemon juice
2tb of the seasoning
1tsp of salt

Once mixed together, I immediately put on a baking sheet and cooked it at 425F for about 15-20 min (checking with a meat thermometer).

For the pan:
1tb of butter
1 small onion
A healthy squeeze of tomato paste
1tb of minced ginger
1tb of minced garlic
2tb of the seasoning
1 handful of unsalted cashews
One 14.5 oz can of fire roasted diced tomatoes
About a 1/4 cup of heavy cream
I also added about 2oz of chili powder for a kick, but it's optional.

Blended with an immersion blender
Salt to taste.
Add the chicken
Top whatever ramen you're making. I made the package of ramen according to instructions, and then pulled the cooked noodles into a bowl, added the butter chicken, and then used the broth from the ramen to thin the sauce to taste and to bind it to the noodles.

All together, it gave us four solid servings (with two bags of ramen).

I ordered three jars of that Fadwa Masala. There was a little hiccup with the order but it got resolved right away and the owner seems very nice.

I think maybe making stock is my new favorite thing to do? Third weekend in a row and I'm determined to can it. I won't be attempting it at 2:00 in the morning this time, though.

PayPal was huge when that started being used.

But I never think to even go there anymore, it's been years.

I go to slickdeals.net daily, which is just basically an affiliate site of deals. Occasionally it’s eBay and I use it. That’s literally the only time I do. But sometimes the deals are amazing.

I subscribed to Slickdeals email list after seeing this. Cool site. Ordered a nice fleece today from goddamn Bass Pro Shop

I don't fall for Instagram deals and many other forms of marketing, but boy oh boy, I've spent thousands on slickdeals.net

Funny thing is I've never really considered myself a sale or bargain shopper, but I came to the realization this year that I literally only buy groceries that are on sale. I just roll through isles looking for the tags. Sometimes I'm even indignant at the prices. "You expect me to pay THAT for bacon?" Just yesterday I had to text my family that Jacks pizzas were 5 for $10. They're probably sick of my **** but they're gonna save a buck.

I’m a bargain guy too, but the 10 dollar package of Nueske’s bacon is probably the most it is definitely worth it to splurge item there is.

Maybe just me but chips are where I've felt the price hikes. I'm just blown away at the cost of Tostitos and other chips. $8 is f*cked.

I do most of my grocery shopping at Costco. Just have to be smart. Keep track of expiration dates, what can be frozen and what can't, etc... I go every 3 weeks or so. I eat a lot of fruit so I can't buy that there, I usually go to Sendiks for that.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
