Yeah I dunno. If they lose tonight, Tom has clearly lost the team weeks before the playoffs begin.

I expect us to win by 22 points tonight. This team goes from complete meltdown to "Look we're back" way too often.

I don't know why everyone is taking these March games so seriously. We are pretty much locked at the 3rd seed and we don't have our best player. I don't think these games will matter when it's game 1 at the Garden against Detroit, Indiana or Milwaukee.

Everyone should know this team by now and it's ceiling and I'm sorry, playing Kolek or Beachamp isn't going to move the needle this season. And you're not firing the coach with 13 games left either.

If we lose in the first round at full strength or get badly swept by Boston then yeah, I can see major changes happening in the offseason but this team is what we have right now and not much is changing.

Blaming the coach for everything and complaining about not playing the 11th man is what every fan base does. It’s basic bitch analysis. Y’all are all white b*tches in sweatpants and uggs.

I'm not calling for Tom to be fired in season though and I'd rather Kolek get a few minutes instead of playing 8 man rotations on the tail end of a back to back.

I have to say this though: literally no one on this board is claiming that Kolek or Beauchamp will move the needle so I dunno why people keep saying that??? :-? I just don't want guys being run into the ground, my position hasn't changed all year about that. I'd rather lose a few minutes of a game playing players 9 and 10 on the roster to keep guys fresh for the 4th quarter instead of what Thibs is doing, which is literally hurting the team.

Also I disagree. If we're getting blown out by trash teams in March while guys are playing heavy mins, that is a seriously bad sign. This team isn't gonna magically hit a switch and start playing dominant basketball in two weeks based on how they look now and how bad we look on both ends.

He lost them a loooooong time ago in the 2nd half of their first game against OKC

This squad has never been the same ever since

What's easy to overlook is most of our wins are hero ball wins because we've had the luxury of Brunson, Bridges or KAT having big nights to carry the offense, but we've only had a handful of games since that first OKC game where we played a cohesive brand of ball on both ends of the court.

And that's being generous, because we almost never play coherently for a full game. It is usually one half of good ball to offset what may have been a weaker first half of the game.

Some of those good moments have masked over the underlying disgruntlement, but it has been there for months

The criticisms of Tom are valid though, I dunno why people are pretending that he's doing a great job when he is consistently outclassed by opposing coaches who aren't stuck in 2004.

yea there's really only a handful of games all year where the team looked legit. 1st pistons game is one. both nuggets games (1st one moreso). 1st grizzlies game.

you can go through the schedule and it's littered with struggle wins against mid to bad teams (OT against wizards? lmao) and getting smacked around by the good to great teams. and that was BEFORE brunson got hurt.

the record was very good if you only looked at the surface. plenty of bad losses and squeaking out wins against terrible teams early on were dismissed with "give it time" when the opposite has happened - teams got enough tape of thibs garbage scheme and we've made zero adjustments.

Yep. Like I said in the other thread, Brunson has been doing a ton of heavy lifting for Tom and now that he's out everything is falling apart.

Consistently being blown out by good teams and barely beating bad or middle of the pack teams was bad enough, now we're being stomped by lottery teams. Something is seriously wrong behind the scenes.

The fact that this team has this record is a testament to the talent.

Yeah the roster needs some work but these guys should not be getting blown out by the Spurs and Hornets or barely winning against the Blazers.

It's ridiculous at this point. No one who defends Thibs even tries to address the points actually being made against him. Things that actually happen in real time as we all watch. years of it. Things we actually say. Ignored.

I'm clinging to hope that Brunson comes back healthy and we don't lose anyone else for the playoffs. I don't expect much after that but, an ECF appearance was my hopes to start his season. A first round exit will not work at all for me though.

We wouldn't do something like this, but I think Thibs should do a "send a message" game and bench underperformers, start Kolek and another hungry bench player who will give 1000% and let KAT lead that team to a win.
