Giants are not interested in Rodgers, seems fabricated. May be put out there to squeeze a few more dollars from the Steelers.

Winston isn’t signing an incentive laden deal to backup Rodgers, foolish to even pretend it’s legit.

Schoen and Daboll are 100% interested in Rodgers and I'm willing to bet they think they can win 10 games with him. :noway:

True, but from what I read there are more first round options potentially, plus Arch might come out.

Full disclosure I've not seen much of Arch at all so I dunno how good he is or will be.

Winston is best QB left in free agency imo in terms of overall skill, entertainment and locker room effect. He can still sling it and has a funny personality which helps in the short term when your team is a dumpster fire. I don't think he will cause much drama when it's time to sit and start the rookie QB should we draft one. But those 3 INT games are going to be painful to watch.

Malik is going to put up incredible stat lines though so that's a plus

It's really sad how excited I am about this but it will be nice to see the deep ball again after God knows how many years.

Rodgers is injury prone and Winston's deal is 2 years, so they can take a look at him this year and bring him back next year when they draft a QB. For what he's being paid, I don't think Winston's contract means they're 100% not interested in Rodgers.

That said, I think Pittsburgh (10-7) is a better spot than NYG (3-14) for the 41 year old. I don't know what's being offered/discussed, but I think Rodgers should prefer Pittsburgh. I wouldn't be shocked if the Giants still have some interest though.

Giants signing Russ too makes me fear they won’t take QB at 3… Would think Hunter or Carter would be their pick, but I’m personally hoping we go QB

Do not want to go into another season needing a QB for the future and no guarantee we’ll be in position to get the guy we want (or second guy even)

I get your point i want a young QB as well. But if these guys have a bad year they are getting fired and personally would rather have a new GM and Coach get there own pick at QB.

The only thing I can think of is they got word that Ward and Sanders likely go 1 and 2.

How can you pay Wilson and Winston and the a QB at 3?

I wanted the Giants to get another QB, but would have preferred Flacco. We basically have to run two different systems for Winston and Russ.

Yeah, I get that. Just fear we will be too good for a top guy next year and be in no man’s land again. I could see Mara drooling over the idea of another Manning and have Arch be the savior in next years draft….

That being said, I cannot be mad at Carter, Hunter, or Sanders. Hell, Mason Graham is a monster too but I can’t justify the pick at 3.

I don't see Wilson or Winston being good enough to save there jobs. Wilson looked cooked at end of year. Winston was a great bridge guy. But don't think Russell signs unless he knows he's a starter. Winston would have only started then given up job to rookie.

You don't.

Take Travis Hunter, let Russ lead the tank and draft a QB next year.

Yeah Wilson and Winston are completely different style QBs. Wilson doesn't throw intermediate routes. It's check downs or bombs.

Flacco and Winston were much more similar

If the next GM believes that the QB of the future is in the top 10, we'll have to use picks to trade up.

I'm fine with Hunter or Carter, but I wanna see Nabers and Hunter on the field together a few plays every week
