I don't think he's a player that Minnesota considers trading unless he is a needed asset in return for a star-level player. (ie. Randle + DiVincenzo for ____)

OrlandoDream wrote:You severely overvaluing DDV then. OP mentioned not enough minutes with other players rising and getting a pick or cap relief. A non lot FRP is valuable. Can find rotation player there on cheap contract for 4 years. Cole Anthony is a backup PG in this league meant to give you quick pt in 15-18min and basically expiring after next year (team option).

Your not getting a similar player on that contract and a FRP. DDV is a solid bench scoring 3Pt shooter. Useful to many teams but your not getting 6th man of the year price.

No they're not. Anthony doesn't have positive trade value. No one is taking him for free even on an expiring contract. That Denver 1st is going to be in the 20s.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Podz has been pretty awful this season.

I don't think he has been awful for a second year player. The shooting hasn't been as good, but it is two reasonable role-players for one.

DDV is the best of the three and only one who's a two-way player. As far as Podz, he's been pretty bad. His shooting numbers are awful, his assists are down, and his defense hasn't improved. I don't have him as a replacement level backup at this point.

Make the swap for the season, and MIN lucks into the DET 1st round pick for their troubles?

Not a bad deal, but I think they’d struggle with Towns’s contract, especially if he gets hurt.

Love KAT though, happy for his success in NY!
