You are looking at team rankings not lineup rankings
Nuggets starting lineup is the best offense in the league and it isn’t close

https://www.nba.com/stats/lineups/advanced?CF=MIN*G*200&GroupQuantity=5&dir=D&slug=advanced&sort=OFF_RATING

.
Your minimum minutes qualifier literally removes every single Cavs 5 man line-up lol they have not had any 5 man unit play 200 minutes together yet.

Also the op was questioning where the Cavs stand after adding Hunter (assuming he does end up starting), and we only have one game of data for that.

Though according to the link above, the Jrue-White-Brown-Tatum-Horford lineup has the best net rating, arguable if that is the starting lineup or not.

The Celtics haven't even really been playing that well and they've had guys resting and in and out of their lineup all year and it's still that obvious.

Denver? **** outta here.

There's a reason why the Celtics would wipe the floor with the Nuggets in a 7 game series. It's not like Boston has a ton of depth this season. Their starting 5 is the difference.

When is the last time Boston won a game against Jokic?

Why is Houston, LAC, or Memphis even on this list?

This is tough.

If all teams are healthy

NY
OKC
Cleveland
Boston
Memphis

Those 5 all have super strong starting lineups. There really isn't a weakness in any of them. I guess you have a rookie in Memphis' but he's good, and Jaylin Wells isn't well known, but he's solid.

I voted Denver, but BOS, OKC, and CLE are all reasonable.

1. It's cool that there are four equally reasonable choices. I bet that's rarely true.

2. Insane that OKC is in this conversation, given their depth.

3. I meant Denver's real starting five, none of this Westbrook nonesense.

BTW Best Starting 5 is immaterial in today's highly load managed and injury riddled league if you haven't got depth/a bench to cover injuries/starter absences (such as The Knicks)

The Celtics thumped Miami last night without 2 all star starters (Brown and Jrue)

This is mainly why I am holding back on lauding the Lakers title chances (this season anyway)if Luka or LeBron are injured/not right come the playoffs they have no chance.

Obviously that can be rectified in the off season.

Not sure I don't follow the Celtics to know when they beat teams in the regular season. I can promise you that any regular season result has nothing to do with a postseason 7 game series though.

All of this hype for a team that won a title 2 years ago and yet they have nearly the same odds as the Lakers to win it all.

The-Power wrote:Looking at Cleveland's new starting 5 with Garland, Mitchell, Hunter, Mobley and Allen has got me thinking – who has the best starting 5 in the league right now? Because that's a damn good one without any apparent flaws. Yet there are also some other really strong starting line-ups around the NBA right now.

The obvious candidates besides Cleveland are Boston and OKC (whoever you put in there). Other candidates I could see are the Knicks and Denver who are good teams on the backs of their starters. Houston, Memphis and Indiana have also been very successful with their starting line-ups though I personally would put them more in the ‘fringe candidates’ category. The Clippers with Kawhi are in the conversation, too, and who knows what the Lakers will look like. The 76ers with healthy Embiid might be a candidate, too, but it's difficult to anticipate a ‘healthy Embiid’ at this point.

So, who's wearing the crown right now?

Note: The poll only allows for 10 options and since I like to always have an ‘other’ option, I could only include 9 teams and decided to not include the Pacers and 76ers. Don't come at me – just vote ‘other’ if you truly believe they have the best starting 5 and post it in the comments. Note that I personally also do not think of the Lakers as a real candidate right now but I assumed a team with Luka and LeBron is going to have its believers already.

That starting 5's weakness is the size of Mitchell and Garland and being picked on defensively.
This is countered by putting a few giants behind them in the paint which is working well so far.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

He listed 9 teams, Houston has the 4th best record in the entire league. Memphis 8th best record. Clippers 11th. Not sure why it’s a stretch to include these teams in top 9 rosters

If 2023 Murray actually shows up, I feel like the nuggets starting 5 is as good as any other team.
