56 attempts don't move me. The volume is too low and 75% from the line is good but when projecting shooting, it could go either way. These are still solid shooting indicators but just not enough to get me to buy in.

Someone like Myles Turner shot 83% at the line and shot above 40% on non paint 2s with good volume.

I can not stress this enough... I could care less what Myles Turner did.

You don't have to, Maluach taking 56 3s in BAL doesn't mean much. He's still an unskilled big.

I think Flemming will be my guy at 15-16. Fleming-CMB and Essengue are my guys in the teens.

My do not draft list is Egor, Maluach and Newell. Most open to changing my mind on Newell.

I would be good with one of Queen, CMB, or Fleming.

Drafting Queen and acquiring a late first for JT Toppin could be a smart move. Build a team similar to the Rockets.

I can pretty easily be talked into Queen. I don't think he fits us, but he has talent.

I’d like an athletic freak at C or Fwd.

If Fleming is that I’m interested. Will have to see how he does at combine.

CMB is like Lefty Draymond. I’d be fine at 15 either way him.

Don’t want Newell even at 15.

I like Riley. Think he’d be great with Buz and Giddey getting him dunks off cuts and wide open 3s. Hes a great IQ player and a really good shooter.

Also like Joan a lot at C. He’s an athletic freak and super young.

I know it’s not who the cool kids like but even with Giddey and Ball on this team I would be fine with Demin in that 15 pick range. His upside might not be what it was before he started at BYU, but it’s closer to that than it is to what people started saying about it.

He’s not my top choice at that late lottery-mid first range but I’d feel fine walking out of this draft with such a unique prospect considering how far our pick could fall.

You really think so? He doesn’t defend. I love the guy, but I can’t see a team taking a short, offense-only big that high.

Would be delighted to see him available for the Bulls even though the fit isn’t ideal.

What does he add to the team that we don't already have?

Yep. Huerter is prob a solid mid comp for Demin.

Huerter will be cheap to resign if we want to as well.

I’ll take Riley or Joan. CMB will be gone.

More interchangeability, perimeter height, and unteachably creative passing skills. Not sure you can actually have too many freaks like that. It’s already unusual that we have 2 of them. I’ll take another.

Moreover, it’s just asset maximization. Demin is a uniquely constructed player with an unusual feel for the game. He lacks lateral speed and a reliable 3. If he adds the 3, he’ll be a terrific NBA player to either keep or trade. The lateral speed will not be a material issue standing alone. If we can get a unique upside guy at the middle of the first, we are the type of team who should prioritize that over fit.

He meets size thresholds. He's an offensive prospect for sure but I don't think the defensive picture is hopeless.

Shift to a lot of two big lineups helps him as well.

After Flagg and Harper, I think the board is wide open for teams.

Huerter and Demin are nothing at all alike beyond being remarkably pale. Their games are entirely dissimilar. How many times have you seen Demin play? It’s really odd to me to see him compared to a catch and shoot 2 like Huerter.

I also would take Riley over Demin. As stated, he’s not my top choice a that range. But he is a choice I’d feel fine with.
