Okc out: Filler of thier choice, draft capital (maybe the philly 2025 pick or the Heat 2025 pick)
Hornets out: Mark Williams
Why for Okc: They get Mark Williams for at least one year at 6 million and can decide if they want to retian him after that. Williams is putting up 15 and 10 with 1.3 blk in 26 minutes this year. He has a 25 PER and shoots 80% from the ft line. He could problably help OKC win a tittle right now a lot more than a rookie. They also get to dump whatever contract they want to move on form.
Hornets get an extra draft pick.

What's the solution at C for us? I don't trade Mark without one in place, and this draft doesn't seem like the place to get one.
investigate Adam Silver

The team with Hartenstein and Chet shouldn’t be trading for Mark Williams imo.
It looks pretty unlikely that OKC gets either of those picks. But would guess based off the LAL trade, Williams is worth either of the 2026 versions of that pick.
But just the wrong team imo.

Re: Hornets/OKC Mark Williams for draft capital
So he doesn't play if their current centers are healthy. And him going into a free agency year after a trade got killed because he failed a physical. Can't imagine OKC wants that situation festering.
They are much better off just bringing in a veteran who can play backup minutes as needed but will also be fine on DNPP-CD nights.
Williams needs to go to a team where he can play when he's available.

Atlanta or Orlando at 24/25 could be good fits.

OKC probably doesn’t need another Center next season . We will rely on Jaylin. If we are looking to upgrade off Jaylin the upgrade is probably on cost controlled.
