Jimmy Recard wrote:Yeah, he’s gonna be an all star at some point. Not just a “good player/starter on an elite team” like a lot of people thought of as his ceiling. Guy is the total package. Great get by Portland.

seems that way

before this season Deni only had two 30+ games in his career, this season he's got seven of those most of which have come in a relatively short span of time. obviously he's taking more shots and being relied on more but he's also scoring efficiently, not like he's chucking randomly. his improved play is a big contributor to the Blazers late play-in push, they've been winning games and he's clearly been their best player during this stretch. future all-star at some point most likely but we'll need to see him sustain this next season, this part of the season is pretty sus. the same goes for adjusting to more defensive attention as opponent's scouting is gonna be moving Avdija to the top of their video sessions and game plan

Trying to put on a picture in a thread for the first time.

*Haha didn't work.

Deni's 67/24/15 and 9 3's make him the fourth player in NBA history to put up those numbers over a two game span, joining Luka, Harden and Russ.

Blazers are in good position. Camara/Avdija/Clingan is a promising 3/4/5 lineup. Jury is still out on Scoot but he's made a big stride from his awful rookie season. They're set up to have huge cap space in the summer of 2026 with Avdija, Camara, Clingan and Scoot all still under contract.

There is a lot of talent in the 2026 FA class, guards in particular. Luka, Trae, Harden, Kyrie, Reaves, Fox, LaVine, Porzingis, JJJ, Norm Powell, Sexton, Coby White, Hachimura, PJ Washington, etc.

They just need a star guard and a really good defensive guard, like a Caruso type. Bring Simons off the bench for instant offense. It’ll be fun to watch their frontcourt gel though.

I agree

how do u feel about Sharpe? obviously he's shown flashes, is an insane athlete and still only 21 but he doesn't seem to be meshing well with the other guys and team oriented basketball and his shooting has been woeful. I know he's young so there's still plenty of upside but that also means in theory, the Blazers could recoup the investment on him at least somewhat

His 3 point shooting has fallen off a cliff. I like Sharpe but was hoping to see more progress.

No players ever sign in Portland as FA's, at least not if they're stars.

A question for the moderators, why this comment is "Warned for political derailing":

-Spyda- wrote:Love Deni Love Israel <3

Warned for political derailing.

But this one isn't:

"Love Israel" is political derailing?

Ridicilous..

edit: oh, and that toxic one (the second one) is straight up propganda and straight up political, funny how that one warranted no warning despite being a.) false and b.) very clearly derailing the thread with politics hmm

I would like to understand the policy as well. Maybe some mod can explain?

False? About how Deni is underpaid? I said he was on a good contract and I believe so. How is he overpaid?

The same way it's derailing to point out a certain scumbag center playing in Texas posted a story on his IG in praise of a Genocidal maniac, I'm going to assume.

Please link the comment in this thread that you're referencing because I really don't know what you're talking about, if it's not in this thread then what's the relevance?
