The Best 3rd Center in the League, by far.
It's a Luxury having him.

Which makes Queta the best 4th center in the league. Some teams don't even have a 3rd true center.

Between KP and being made of glass, Kornet a FA and Al being older than the Beatles, Center is a HUGE question mark for us this summer. Kornet may get his "bag" after all. :D

Good thing with Luke is they have his bird rights. They can offer him a contract they wouldn't be able to for another FA. I bet Luke's a keeper. 3yr 24-27mil

Was reading this too quick instead of careful and thought you said we have his birth rights.

Not really the same path.

Kite was always a physical player (and little else). Luke has learned to be physical, and improved his body.

fair.
if considering playstyle, maybe this former Celtic -- who IIR never plugged into what Luke now is -- is a better comp then:

If we ignore his stretch-big history, I think of Luke as the Tacko Fall story with a happier arc. Tall, slow, very likeable off the court. But one managed to speed up.

The C's are clearly good at helping smart and hard-working players improve.

The Knicks and Lakers would kill to have Kornet right about now. Glad we have him. Hoping we can somehow resign him.

Keeping Luke is really not that hard because the Cs have his Bird rights.

As long as new ownership is willing to spend, keeping Luke is a no-brainer.

Pay Luke whatever it takes to keep him.

I would be devastated if he doesn't retire a Celtic

When he does retire I hope he kicks Drew Carter out of his announcers seat and calls games with Scal :D

Read on Twitter

Like I said before, JT has to have a cut of Luke's next contract since he's made Kornet a ton of money.
