Listened to an extensive interview on XM NBA with Ty Jerome...I like him. Hopefully, he's somehow in the mix for us this summer. He's a UFA presently making $2.5m but due a big raise...hopefully, nobody goes crazy and throws $20m at him. Would love to get him for Cole or even Gary money.

In my head I see him getting like 4/50ish right now. I think that could go up a bit if he looks like he can stick on the floor in the playoffs. If he gets targeted and played off the floor in the playoffs probably a bit less. Rough for us unless we don't re-sign Mo or shed serious salary in trades.

My opinion: Look for the next Jerome or Beasley in free agency with what little we will have to spend. Better acquisition comes via trade.

Yeah...I don't see him as THE answer, just a serious upgrade off the bench

Here’s a crazy 2K deal for draft night:

ORL: Embiid
PHI: KCP + Isaac + (WCJ/Cole) + 2 25FRPs

Embiid/(WCJ)/Goga
Paolo/Moe
Franz/TDS
Suggs/Jett/Harris
AB/(Cole)

Then you’ve still got one of WCJ/Cole + Jett + Harris to chase a starting guard. Or sign a ring-chasing veteran for the minimum.

Boom. Instant contender. Lux tax crippled for the next 5 seasons.

Bulls are looking like all stars. Vuc and Giddey both shooting over 50% from 3 on 4 attempts a game since the ASW. They’re cookin’.

It'd be good for us. But I don't think 76ers are gonna do it. Embiid is their franchise player and they've invested so much in him unless 76ers are thinking of a rebuild around Maxey and kinda start it all over.

But i do not think what you offered is enough to get embiid. It could start with Franz or Suggs for a conversation for Sixers

Embiid is cooked. Stop.

You want to find a way to get rid of good young players and/or positive assets? Trade them for a guy with no knees.

Guy has played 19 games this season and some 76ers fans would love for a team stupid enough to dig them out of that hole.

That is probably why 76ers could sell low for Embiid to get rid of his huge contract.

But i agree with you, a simple "NO" because he is never healthy

Everything that came out after the deadline is that the Bulls refused to move him.

Yeah. Zero proof we had a chance at White. Fan pipe dreams don’t count.

And-1

If we want a 2k trade, then CJ McCollum for Caldwell-Pope, Howard and the Denver FRP.

Wait: Actually, that trade might actually improve both teams.

Probably refused to move him for Weltman offer of srps, Gary and Cole...they tried to "squeeze him" back for actual value

Bulls are in such an odd position.

Post all star, when they offloaded both "star" scrubs they are 10-7

Stat lines of White & Giddey post ASG

Giddey: 22,6 ppg, 10,2 rpg, 9,2 apg, 1,6 steals, 0,8 blocks, 67% TS
White 26-4-4. 62% TS

One of those teams where you really have no clue what's the right direction to take.

I don't want to get carried away with Giddey's sudden ability to shoot entering RFA, but...what a huge lineup we'd have with him at PG

ORL sends: KCP, WCJ, ORL 25 frp (#15?) ...is this enough draft equity? Maybe add DEN frp
LAL sends: Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Knecht

Rui is not really a target, but he is just a solid, versatile big who happens to be a 40% from 3 guy, maybe I'm underestimating his value but I figure LAL is okay with unloading his salary to add KCP..if not, deal could be simplified to basically Reaves for WCJ + frp(s). As ORL gets top-heavy and relies on bench less, Rui is a nice guy to platoon with Isaac, Moe, TdS. Goga will do for now, but a C upgrade would be big and we have assets and expiring salary to do it. Reaves has holes in his game for sure, primarily on defense, but he's a JV Luka...fearless, crafty, high BBIQ, can score and facilitate. I wonder what he does out of LBJ (and now Luka's) shadow - I'd bet he's ready to lead an offense and he's a smart enough player to recognize that Paolo & Franz are still the primary guys. Adding Knecht might be a reach, but I don't see that he's really a significant part of LAL's rotation yet. They are as win-now as any team has ever been and KCP is ready for that. If it was somehow possible to draft Maluach with our pick (or a move up a bit-unlikely but...), LAL might prefer future frp(s) anyway because they're easier to trade than on draft night. Maybe Cole's expiring, Jett, and our frp gets us Gafford, as an alternative?

Gafford, Goga, Moe
Paolo, Rui, Isaac
Franz, TdS
Suggs, Knecht, Harris @ $3m
Reaves, AB, CoJo

They don't have a franchise player. They need to tank.
