We would EASILY be above the nets and sixers had we just tanked during that stupid stretch of wins we had a few weeks ago. I’d say even if we took it more seriously this stretch. This was totally achievable and we didn’t take it seriously enough as a franchise.

We got the 7th spot locked in. Thank God the Spurs and Bulls have been trying to win instead of high level tanking or else our pick position could drop even lower

The Nets play the Wizards twice and the Raptors soon. There’s a small chance to overtake them but it’s unlikely.

Nah, we had some bad luck. The Hawks look put together now but absolutely played like crap during our two game set there. Same with the Magic. Not like we were trying our hardest to win then either.

You should know by now, this franchise only takes one thing seriously, and that's being just good enough. Gotta get that play in revenue.

There is literally zero reason for Jak and/or Scottie to have played this game, yet here we are.

The year we went up to 4 from 7. I was appreciative of 7 because that was realistically our range for that group. These guys should have easily been able to get top 5. We were close.

The same sentiment should apply right now then, at the start of the year this wasn't supposed to be the reality either. I'm appreciative of 7 because 8-9-10-11+ wasn't really out of the realm of possibility either. If I told you at the start of the year could you have #7 or a 1st round, I'm sure you would take #7, well here we are.

My rebuttal to tWo: you can't lament our pre-deadline win streak when we played vets but not acknowledge that the Nets went 9-11 to start the season through December by playing their vets. We got screwed by NOP and the Sixers completely crumbling. You expect one of these a year, but 2 such examples sucks and feels rare. Team was set up for a bottom 5 finish. Though maybe the team should have prepared for the possibility of a Sixers tank...

Anyways, it is what it is. We should all be hope the ping pong balls bounce our way.

That stretch in mid to late Jan where we won 7 of 8 really derailed the tank. Boucher had some good games where he was shooting well that didn't help with the Ls. We were probably trying to showcase him for the trade deadline but that backfired. Those Hawks/Magic wins screwed us as well.

At this point I'll be fine with 7th and hoping that we move up in the draft.

A. No one offered value for him without us taking back contract with term.

B. We have talked to him and have an understanding on a deal for next year.

People forget in that stretch of winning 7/8...

IQ missed most of those games
The "vets playing" half this board said they were trash and had no value-BB and KO
Celtics win was due to Tatum, White and Brown **** the bed shooting wise.
We win 2 in Atl with only 3 road wins at that point
Orlando-no Wagner or Suggs
Clips- no Norm

For sure we were not tanking with lineups like we are now but that saw also in Jan with half the season left. And sometimes, things are not in your control. The other teams have a say in what happens to.

But ALL of Philly, Nets, Raps, etc... have a stretch where they can say "if only we didn't win here we would he lower".

Reality is we have way more talent and depth than a "real" bottom 7 team. That sucks for having a better chance at Flagg but it's good for next years outlook.

And we are gonna move up to 3 anyways and push 76ers to 7th crushing their hopes.
