There are things I think should be done that aren't being done on offense:

1) Stop using Brook solely as a statue 30 feet from the basket or as a pick and roll guy. Post him up down low (especially in certain matchups) and spread the floor. It's malpractice not to use his skills there and his ability to draw fouls.

2) Don't have Prince and Kuzma in the lineup at the same time.

3) Start varying your lineups depending on the matchups. Spoelstra has a changing lineup game to game. Unfortunately, it is uncommon for coaches to use their brain and think about those things. 90% of coaches are slow to change and Doc is certainly one of them.

While post ups would be slightly beneficial for our offense with brook, it creates a huge defensive liability as it creates more court for him to recover on defense. Brook just can't get up and down the court like that. Brook is one of my favorite Bucks of all time, but the reality is at this point in his career, he would be ideally used a lot more situationally than he is.

I kind of agree with you on number two, but more in the sense that I don't think Kuzma should be on the court with Giannis for any extended minutes, while Prince should only be on the court while Giannis is playing.

Kuzma is probably our third best overall player, but his minutes with Giannis just clog the lane too much. No one is respecting Kuzma as a shooter, and his defender just sags off close to the lane.

A lot of the focus here has been on getting Prince out of the starting lineup, but I think the bigger problem is Kuzma. His defense has been pretty good, but he is not a fit on offense when Giannis is playing. Prince's biggest defensive problems is that he's being asked to defend guards, which would be remedied if we put Trent in as our starting guard and brought Kuzma off the bench. Every minute that Giannis is not on the floor, I would play Kuzma, and only overlap the two of them for short 1-2minute bursts.

The problem of playing Kuzma when Giannis is off the court is that he can't be your main scorer. He's shooting 43% and 29% on threes.

Or to put it another way, if Kuzma is your third best player, you're in trouble.

Kuzma is better on defense than I expected but kinda sucks on offense other than running the floor. Whoever compared his finishing ability to Jennings is right, he can get to the right places but his finishes are like wildly flipping the ball towards the hoop and he really isn’t a much better at all shooter than Giannis. It’s definitely a talent issue if that guy is your #3. I’m sure Horst is working hard on an extension oof

LOL the ball starts in G & D's hands and stays there it's blatant everybody else is just told to stand there or have no other option than to wait for the other two to get done dinkin around and involve them halfheartedly in an actual play. Stats indicate per realGM thread that G & D shouldn't be on the floor at the same time and that both need to defer to a point guard if the Bucks are functionally invested in winning. Inverting the issue to offload whose poor play is dragging down the Bucks' fading prospects for a legit postseason run doesn't make it so, doesn't somehow make all the other guys 'mediocre'. We're notching wins *not* because 'two guys are dragging the team to wins' [sic] [paraphrasing factual error from another thread], that's a helluva losing recipe; we're winning in spite of two guys or at least one of them is laboring and laboring and laboring under the mistaken notion that involving the other three guys in baseline high bbiq team play is somehow optional when it is the winning bb pathway; it is The Way. On the the one hand, better points distribution w/more guys in double digits is resulting in more wins, they're trending toward better balance; OTOH when 3 guys play 37+ minutes then it's likely the game-high assists G/7 D/4 are gonna be mostly to each other, remains sorta laughable that continually trying to ride game-high scoring by D & G *only* & nobody else continually results in this frustrating level of play and an ugly series of losses . .. yet here we have all this doubling down on low bbiq and the spectacle of doing the same thing over and over again only to get the same result. I'd say YMMV but this year we're all ending up in the same 1970 Buick convertible halfway to Minocqua, outta gas, short of a title.

Is there any news on the Dame injury? is it really just calf soreness or is it something more?

Dame's with the team. There's no doubt they are being cautious as we get closer to the playoffs. Calf injuries can take awhile to heal (Giannis last year).

Brewhoopfan wrote:Giannis and Dame tend to be ball stoppers on offense. Both tend to take way to much time to 'size up' the defense before making their move. It's always going to hard to run a crisp offense with them on the floor. All that said, It would still be very effective just having them take turns and spreading the floor. This was essentially Bud's offense (which I hated), but at least it was organized and the players understood what they were doing. Now we have an offense which sucks in the regular season and certainly will suck in the playoffs.
Just too much iso ball.

Everything with this team is dependent on health/availability. We need Sims, Portis and Lillard. With those three, I like our chances to defeat Doc Rivers.

Doc is too busy reciting his resume than coaching this Bucks team. I'm so over it.

This franchise is cursed. Wouldn't be surprised if we have to go into these playoffs without him and they just string us along until we inevitably get knocked out.

I have no idea what that is and I need some good (not internet message board) info.

From another source

How long does it take for a DVT to heal?
Symptoms typically improve within a few days of starting the anticoagulant. Most patients with DVT or PE recover completely within several weeks to months without significant complications or long-term adverse effects. However, long-term problems can occur, with symptoms ranging from very mild to more severe.

I think it's the same thing that knocked Wemby out for the season. But I'm sure there are varying degrees of it and I'm not a doctor.

Hope he gets well soon.

He's cooked. And I think we are. The hail mary is to now start KPJ, put Trent next to him cuz you're not worried about the lack of d anymore, and move Kuzma to 6th man; Doc, you dolt. Hope KPJ remarkably picks up the Dame slack overall & we get more potent on o w/ Trent + less Kuz.

BTW, good luck to Dame, personally, but I hope he's cleared medically, and then we move him in the offseason. If nothing else this gives us closure.

Well, good season (not really, at all) folks, see you for the rebuild.
