Not entirely discounting role of coaching and GMing but I think we’re over complicating things a bit. We had our window and then our core guys got older and just weren’t at that elite level anymore. The Dame trade was our shot at another ticket to the summit but it just hasn’t worked out. Again, Dame is in on the downward slope of his career and not the player he was a few years back. The theoretical fit him and Giannis should have just isn’t there.

Horst could’ve done better with the moves and draft picks he has made. But you can say that about every NBA GM. It’s impossible to be perfect here.

I’m disappointed like everyone one else but we’ve at least had a crack as a franchise. Imagine if we had someone like Reinsdorf in charge during the Giannis era?

The interesting next saga of this franchise is if we try hold onto Giannis until the bitter end like Cleveland in 2010 with LeBron.

He probably did that a dozen times for Washington and Jon Horst was like " yesss yess that's what we need. More spaz". **** sicko.
