Pat has untapped potential as a flower salesman.
The main point for PWill for next season was written 50x already.. getting him back to leaner slimmer body, rookie type almost, he just isnt a PF, they tried multiple season. He isnt rebounder, he isnt blocker like Matas is.. PWill should go on big conditioning offseason and be SF ready.
We're long past the point of trying to redeem him. He's not a keeper and there's no rebuilding his value, especially with his contract.
We just need to dump him and give his minutes to someone worth developing. The experiment is over and it's a total failure.
I look at it the other way. We NEED to "redeem" him, because that contract is untradeable for years. IMO, the best we can do is try to turn him back into the capable defending, 3pt shooting, 5th option scorer he used to be. It's not worth $18M, but that way you don't need to add even more salary to find a guy to back-up forward minutes. If he can become "that guy" again, and give us 24 good minutes a game, it takes the $15M of overpay down to $5-$7M.
