Best offer for GIANNIS?
With the blood clot news for Dame and an aging core, the writing seems to be on the wall for this version of the Bucks.
Giannis is 30. They should quietly entertain offers for top bidder.
They don’t have control of their picks for several years, so they can’t really tank. Ideally, they will prioritize star players 25 and younger plus picks, so that they can build up to a future core again in a couple of years.

Re: Best offer for GIANNIS?
Giannis to New Orleans
In ‘25, assume NOP get a non-Flagg top 5 pick (ie 2 - 5).
In ‘26, NOP owns swap rights to MIL 1st that can be returned.
Zion is the salary and a potential albeit flawed star.
Herb Jones is a young defensive ace
‘25 NOP 1st + ‘26 MIL swap return + Zion + Herb Jones + 2 2nds
Milwaukee can do a 1 year tank job with their ‘26 pick back, and return to glory with a new core.

Not enough.
Amen Thompson has to be in. Swap him for Reed and it’s very interesting.
This is Giannis we are talking about. An MVP player.

Significantly older and significantly worse. Not remotely close in trade value at this point.

No.
If its not enough, then its not enough.
It's a young all star, a high level prospect and 4 of the best future picks out there.
No other team is coming close to that offer.

Don't think Reed is that any more after the year he's had.
OKC could do one of Chet or Jalen + picks
Orlando could do Banchero + picks
Memphis could do Ja/Edey + picks
i think these 3 and Houston can all make compelling offers

What changed about Reed from his pre-draft?
Nothing as far as I can tell. He is buried on a deep deep where he simply isn't going to be given 20-30 MPG to develop like a Point Guard needs. He still has great instincts on both ends of the court and can shoot.
He is still a good prospect.
I think Houston offer beats both Orlando and Memphis, I might still take it over Chet/Jdub given his injury concerns and Jdub lack of impact when on the court without Shai.
I don't think the Pacers can make a good enough offer with Siakam+Mathurin+Nembhard+Picks but man would Giannis in Siakam's role be incredible in an up tempo and open court system.
Would Cleveland trade Mobley+?
Would Minnesota trade ANT+?
If someone like New Orleans won the lottery, Flagg+Picks is a good starting point. Even if they didn't win, getting control of their own picks in 2026+2027 would be massive.
What if New Orleans just did Zion+Picks? Do they need to include Murphy? Probably.

That’s a solid offer and MIL should take it.

Hopefully Dame is okay and there is no Giannis sweepstakes..
But if there is? I would say Milwaukee tells NOP to keep Herb and give them their 2027 first back. Probably still get Herb honestly.
Milwaukee can trade Zion for 2-?? other firsts and have an actual two year rebuilding window on top of the top 5 pick this season.
Not sure if NOP really should be trading for Giannis though. Missi/Trey/McCollum/DJM is a good but not great group for him, and that’s ignoring DJM’s serious sounding injury..
Would think NOP should just let Milwaukee tank and take the Phoenix picks from Houston or something in a three team deal.
Don’t see Giannis being traded this offseason though

Re: Best offer for GIANNIS?
Portland Offers Grant, Ayton, Sharpe, Clingan, Scoot, MIL picks back, PDX 25 pick, and additional 4 firsts (after we send chicago 5 seconds for their pick back.) for Dame,Giannis and Portis.
Dame/FA
Camara/Thybulle
Deni/FA
Giannis/Portis
RW/Reath
Portland bails Mil out of the Dame and Giannis timeline that didnt work and brings them to Portland for one last shot at it with a better supporting cast and lets Dame retire in the city he wanted to before Jody shipped him off and said screw the fans.
Milwaukie gets 3 recent lottery picks with star potential plus several firsts to replenish their assets and can turn their other vets into more picks/young guys.
Scoot
Sharpe
Grant
Kuzma
Clingan plus all the picks for their new core. Flip Grant, Ayton for anything.

Re: Best offer for GIANNIS?
Durant doesn't make sense because the presumption is a teardown with Dame retiring and Giannis moving out.
ORL sends: Franz Wagner, KCP, ORL 25 frp (#15?), ORL 27 (Top 3 protected)
MIL sends: Giannis, Bobby Portis

They're getting an all star in Sengun, Sheppard and what looks like 5 picks in that suggestion. That's a great offer imo.
