Just to be transparent, because you guys are like family. Doc gave me about a year. But the cancer is quite rare so he said could me little more, could be less (obviously). So hopefully you'll have to put up with me a little longer than not.

2. DVT is really **** scary. I feel like NBA fans don't need to be told it, but this is what shutdown Wemby for the season last month, and is also what led to the ending of Bosh's career (I think you need...three?).
3. Why the hell do peak NBA athletes have DVT?

Some people have underlying asymptomatic medical conditions that are often undiagnosed that can cause clots like these. In Dame/Wemby/Bosh's case, it's good that these clots got caught before they traveled into their lungs or their brains and killed them, because that is how they're often discovered otherwise.

Mate. Much love. Whatever it takes to get a smile on your face these days, I hope you get it. Hopefully you have plenty of friends, family and good times around. I'll have a beer for you when it's more socially acceptable than 3pm at the gym I'm working at...

If Doc Rivers gave you a year, you're gonna outlive most of us, fam!

Joking aside, hoping for the absolute best outcome for you. Funny thing, forming friendships on a random basketball forum, but it's been an absolute pleasure and I expect it to continue for quite some time. I'm not a religious person but I have you in my thoughts and prayers, brother. It's rare, so are you, you will beat this.

Two guys who are currently not signed passed this season. Rough. If KPJ shows out like we all hope right now, it's gonna be really difficult to retain him.

So I had a look at our best 5 man lineups that have played at least 20mins together and don’t include dame or any guys we’ve moved on from (Midds, delon etc).

Best lineups:
1. Lopez, Giannis, TP, Rollins, Kuz
2. Lopez, Giannis, TP, Porter, Trent
3. Giannis, Kuz, Trent, Porter, Green
4. Lopez, Kuz, Trent, Porter, green
5. Kuz, Trent, Porter, Sims, Green

These are our only non dame 5man lineups with at least 20mins together that have a positive net rating.

Interesting.

You open with #2, IMO. Close with #3. Swap in Rollins for Dairy if he's not on.

This trade of Khris and AJ reminds me of the Jennings for Brevin Knight and Middleton swap. Middleton was the throw in that Detroit fans didn't want to part with, and he became the golden goose. Both Knight and Jennings faded quickly. Folks, I don't post often but how can you look at 19-year old AJ Johnson's highlights on the Wiz these last couple of weeks and not clearly see that there is so much more talent in that one player than anything else we have drafted since Giannis? His change of direction, change of speeds, hops, passing. Hell, his three-pointer even looks ok.

How did they misevaluate him and not send along something else instead? Well, because Horst has nothing to lose if he knows there's a chance he won't be around in a year or two. It isn't going to be painful watching A.J.. It already is. With the right coaching staff and GM, he would've been getting ten minutes a game a little before the All Star break. Short-sighted, lazy move.

Porter has to start. I get Rollins starting if Dame would be coming back any time soon, but now there is no excuse.

Trent has to start. I get not starting him with Dame since it didn’t look good when it did happen. But he has looked good in these lineups with Porter.

I still don’t get starting Prince at SG. There was never an excuse for that.

Giannis has to sit till the playoffs. Let Thibs run his players to the ground and upset the Knicks with a high tempo 10 deep rotation.

KPJ/GTJ/Kuz/Giannis/Brook

Rollins/Green/Prince/Bobby/Sims (or AJJ)

Giannis plays 40 mpg. Everybody else less than 30 mpg. Let’s see what Giannis can do surrounded with youth, speed and athleticism.

to be honest my prediction for the playoffs was relative early exit and then trading Dame in the ofseason

now i expect even earlier exit and i doubt if we will be able to trade Dame even if we want it.

I would not be surprised now if Giannis is traded during the summer and going for full rebuild

It's no joke. The clot can end up in your lungs or brain and kill you.

I am no doctor but my mother had DVT a few years back, if i remember correctly the risk for pulmonary embolism is very low as long as the clot is below the knee

KPJs market is extremely limited because of his history. We could use the MLE, but I doubt it takes even the full tMLE. He averaged 19 ppg his previous NBA season and had to sign for the minimum this year.

With the benefit of hindsight, would you rather have Kuzma and Sims or take a gamble on Midds’ health?

Khris and Aj Johnson over Kuzma and Sims —- very clearly for me.

Dame should have been the one who was traded.

You will see my writings here. I was super high on AJ Johnson very early on; many said he is years away from being useful. From the first day I have been writing that kpj is very promising; I hope I am right in this.

Horst was very selfish in trading Johnson away. He should not have done that; he spoiled the Bucks future. Getting Kuzma was something I didn’t like. I would have preferred keeping Khris. One could have got a decent defensive player at much less cost; as an offensive player, Kuzma is not good especially around Giannis and is much worse than Khris. Horst screwed the Bucks. I have zero doubt about that.

He did get kpj but that was for Marjon and I am not sure getting kpj and losing Khris and AJ Johnson is worth it, even though I like kpj a lot. I do not enjoy watching Kuz and and badly miss Khris and Aj Johnson.
