until we see him consistently score with efficiency, i dont really care if he has some highlights. that could take years.
until i see the end result of us getting under the second apron, which could be us making a big trade this offseason, i'm not willing to judge the Khris trade.
Doc has a lot of work to do with Kuzma on offense but his defensive versatility is going to be huge for us in the playoffs. That is the reason we traded for him.
Where is that efficiency argument when it comes to Kuzma? Different standards depending on whether those standards back up your argument or not.
We traded a bonafide number 2/3 when healthy for a guy best suited for coming off the bench. You guys can keep beating this drum like he's some sort of genuine defensive menace but it's objectively untrue. His impact on that end of the ball has completely fallen off after a few WEEKS. Again, there's a reason he consistently gets benched in big games. It's great if people want to shill for what is objectively a bad trade, but don't lie while you do it

we didn't trade for Kuzma to be a defensive star. We traded for him because Horst has had long-reported tunnel vision regarding his love for Kuzma for years, and he was unable to get out of his own way and then forced a trade that is objectively not working out. We wanted to see if a really mediocre number one on a bad team could translate. It isn't.
I don't know what you all have seen in the regular season from Kuz to assume is going to be impactful in the postseason, but I will gladly take whatever Kool-Aid you've got mixing over there. If he's getting played off the floor in the regular season, it would be great to stop pretending like that's going to change when the games really matter in a few weeks. Over his last 10, he's giving us a weak 13-5 on 40-26-65 splits while JOGGING back on D after bricked jumpshots...just isn't going to get it done.
