He looked really good for a guy who was just dropped in. Missed a couple early looks, but he had a transition pull-up three which was nice, and made a few looks from two and was competent on defense. I love ex-Villanova players. They just come ready to the NBA.
Still, I don't really get it since we have Jared Rhoden on a two-way deal rotting in the 905, but I guess he will be done soon. Overall, I am lukewarm on Lawson who has come back to earth after playing road games, but I kind of expect this FO to keep him because of the Toronto/RJ bond thing.

I think it's mostly the saw enough of Castleton to know who is is and saw the chance to add someone who has been on their radar and get an in depth look at him, his habits, work ethic, etc..
In the end we are talking about our 3rd stringers...non rotational guys....unless something crazy happens.

can never have enough shooting. we are 29th in makes this year, 24th in %, so we badly need it for next season

Also Battle seems to know how to do other things. Swider could be a cheap bench player in case of injury but Lawson and Rhoden seem to be able to do more too.
