3RD Q: SPURS 83 CAVS 86
We did very well to compete hard on both ends this Q to win this one 34-32.
We came back from a double digit deficit to lead a handful of times.
Good challenges that benefitted us with points.
Have to dig deep and aim true.

Yeah no surprise but we're getting scored on a lot inside due to having no one taller that 6'9" on anyone's taller Cs.

Re: SPURS GAME DAY! GAME 72: SPURS AT CAVS, 27-3-2025, 6PM (CT)
4TH Q: SPURS 116 CAVS 124
A bit late but needs to be said how well we competed for so much of the game. End to end punchback, resilience, and tough togetherness. Very proud of our effort. One of the most complete games we've played this season, undermanned, with no reason other than competitiveness itself to play for.
Castle continues to rise notching a near triple double with 22-11-8 plus a steal.
And despite being outbigged at the C, he grabbed a game high 7 whopping O boards! SEVEN! He led the team in rebounds and assists.
He also led the team with six FT chances but made only two. Not good and trending the wrong way. His 3s efficiency has improved monthly bit by bit, but his FTs which were steady around the low 70s percentage, then peaked up to 76% in February, have dipped to a season low 68.5% in March. There's a 5% drop pre- and post-AS break. It may just be fatigue or whatnot, but he's third (4.0 FTAs)on the team after Fox (4.2) and Wemby (4.1) so he has to work on improving his efficiency given how much of a staple of his game getting to the line is.
Hard to fault a rookie though for everything he's doing in filling in for our top two players out. He been balling:
Dev's 3 has bounced back nicely after a horrid February:
Truth be told, his 3 has been a very reliable shot statswise. Just that it's less from steadiness most games but from missing most one game, making most another. I'd rather he gets into the rhythm of the former, but his efficiency from the arc has nevertheless increased post-AS break compared to before it.
He also had 22 on excellent efficiency along with 3 boards, 4 assists, and a steal. He's a rhythm player and when he lets his game flow rather than pushing it his best beautiful game flourishes. Game high 37 minutes so he's been logging them. Good to see.
CP surprisingly played 33 minutes, second highest on the team this game, but struggled with efficiency making only 2-10, 1-4 from 3, 4 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals. Solid all around competitive effort.
BB and Barnes made up for it with very efficient games. Vet leadership has been huge for us this season.
These contributions helped offset most of the inefficient games by the bench. Keldon led the way with a spirited 17, efficient everywhere except the 3.
Despite being badly outmanned in the front court, we once again led in O boards, 17-11 which gave us an 18-14 second chance points edge. 27 assists to 10TOs (only 12 points conceded). Down only 56-52 PITP versus a much bigger team up front.
Total team effort. Equal emphasis on all three. And all this without our three best assets. Coalescing like this can only help when they return.
