Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
Karma bits your balls quickly. It's only fitting LAL lose tonight's game on a 46 foot shot after last night's LBJ tip in win.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
No help from anyone tonight. Can the Wolves go 7-1 in the remaining games with a long road trip?

Why the F are the Pistons doing so good all of a sudden? Wolves really should have brought back Beasley, his shooting would have helped off the bench. Would have helped way more than Ingles.

He got a $6 mil contract from DET. The vet min deal was last year.

I remember I was clowned for saying that Gillespie can be developed into an NBA player. Today he outplayed Tyus Jones: career high 9-11, 4-5 3pt, 5reb, 10 assists.

Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
Can somebody explain how OKC with Hartenstein playing only 14 minutes beat IND with Turner, Siakam, Thomas and Obi Freaking Toppin?

Clippers have a back-to-back tomorrow, traveling to Orlando.
Also tomorrow, the struggling Grizzlies face the Celtics on TNT, and the Lakers host the Rockets.
We need to beat DET tonight, but that will be no small feat. They have the same record we do.

Whenever this team has needed to win, it's lost. There's been numerous chances to move up in the standings when other teams have dropped games, yet the Wolves continue to flounder them.

They just won't go away even without Kawhi. Simmons, Dunn, and Bogdanovic turned into serviceable rotation players.

Things should be more dire than they are. We are very much still in the running for 6th, and interestingly, even 5th. The Griz are at 30 losses, the Warriors 31, the Clippers 32, and the Wolves 32. We play the Griz again and while we cannot win the tie breaker, we can put another loss on them. Our destiny is not literally in our control, but a 8-0 win in the next 8 would all but assure a playoff spot. 7-1 probably does the same.

Memphis remaining schedule:
vs. BOS, vs. GSW (B2B), at MIA, at DET, at CHA, vs. MIN, at DEN (B2B), vs. DAL
That's a brutal ending schedule, for a team that has been somewhat spiraling.

And you know who faces teams with an even harder collective record? GSW, HOU, DEN and LAL!
These teams will be facing other contenders, who may also be fighting tooth and nail for playoff positioning.
I plan on putting up the remaining schedule for our competitors later this week, for more fun schedule-watching

Re: Around the NBA (Part Two)
Suns are such a disaster. How Durant has left the Nets and now Suns, it makes me want the wolves to stay far away. Do not want them being next especially since his next team ain’t getting the return the Nets got or suns will get, that will be it!
Only way I do it is if Wolves just give up Randall, Miller and seconds
maybe add Rob or TJ but Durant better fix his legacy and go out a winner.

I think Randle and Rob, maybe the DET gets it done

First, a reminder how good Durant still is.
Durant: FG 52.7%, FT 83.9%, 3P 43.1% on 6.0 3PA, eFG% 60.0%, 6.0 RPG, 4.3 APG, 0.8 SPG, 1.3 BPG, 26.8 PPG
Second, he hasn’t quit on the Suns, which I think other players of this caliber might do. Very professional.
Third though, I think you’re right, that there could be a reason to be cautious. I’ve always admired the stars that just go out and hoop, and don’t get involved with all the personal and professional drama, and Durant is the epitome of this. However, I have heard that might be a problem, that led to sour locker rooms in GSW and BRK. KD was never out agitating, but when you’re that good, the team looks to you for leadership. Durant doesn’t do any of that (except maybe lead by example). He seems a very shy and private person, and I never thought that could lead to locker room issues, but maybe it can.

He roll the ankle tonight, going to be out until play-in, if they make it. Can't believe how the bottom 3 just limp to the play-in. Dallas may actually end up making it but, I don't know for what. They have better shot at the #1 pick than getting pass the 1st round of playoff.
