I must be the only one who doesn't hate P. Williams? He's overpaid, but I think he's a decent 3-D winger for now. I hope they get lucky with their draft pick, get one of Maluach/Newell out of the draft, and become the best version of themselves. Giddey/White/Will or Huerter/Buzelis/Maluach

No. He's been a disappointment but he's still a decent rotational piece and young. He absolutely doesn't "need to be moved". Would be selling low on him, since no ones gonna give up any value for him.
Vucevic needs to go
Ayo or Lonzo need to go
They obviously need huge growth from their young guys to do any damage, as well as make some good moves or luck into Flagg. Buzelis has the best chance to become a legit #1 on the roster I think but that's obviously a huge longshot. They can easily finish the season on a 14-6 to 16-4 stretch

Yeah. That said, Donovan always has the Bulls scrappy and Coby is a player.

I’m still a fan, kid’s smart, got great physical tools, and can shoot 3s, but I do think he might need a change of scenery because in Chicago there is still some frustration that he’s just a 3&D guy and that his on-ball creation never materialized.

They are a long team with good players but they don’t have a guy. Giddy is shining like new money but he was always this type of player just needed the ball more. They will be a permanent 6-10 seed similar to the Trailblazers who also don’t have the guy.

If the lotto gods don't smile on them this spring, they should think about rolling the dice on Zion. Chicago isn't NY or LA, but it's still a massive market that cares about its sports teams, and that could be a really interesting lineup with Zion as the guy for everyone else to play off of...though ideally they'd upgrade on Vuc also.

Not a terrible target but they should look for a two way front court player given how bad that team’s defense would be. Bulls can try to build a defensive juggernaut around Giddey that would work but is unlikely.
They would absolutely need lottery luck to get a top end talent but the best they can hope to get is a player who can thrive off ball if they want to continue to maximize Giddy.

Re: Are the Bulls back?
Bulls fans should be proud and distraught at the same time.
Proud that their Frankenstein team is over performing and distraught that their management refuses to properly tank in the absolute most important year to do so.
These wins mean nothing in the grand scheme of things, half of their players will not be on the team next season.
Again, happy that their players that are either in a contract year or “prove it” phase are competing at a high level but absolute nauseating knowing that they still might miss the playoffs AND subsequently pick low lottery.
In my honest opinion the worst place to be in and this is coming from a fan of a team that was always one pick away from a star player mostly due to these end of season meaningless wins.
But sure they’re definitely back….to mediocrity.
This sounds like I’m hating I admit, but truly this comes from a good place. Bulls fans deserve better than this and they will never get to a place of relevancy as long as they have Artūras Karnišovas at the helm.

I know how much I'd worry about maximizing Giddey, if you don't get someone better than White or Giddey to be your #1, then I don't think you're ever going to make noise against teams like Boston / Cleveland / New York / Indiana / Detroit / Orlando, even if you build up a really good defense around those two young guards.

Not this year at all, but they have a few good pieces right now that make the future look slightly brighter. A retool of some pieces would be nice to put them more in a place where they can actually contend for a real playoff spot and not a playing would be ideal this offseason, then the year or two after that hopefully try to contend.

Can we go back to “the bulls finally have their franchise player to build around”?

Not really true. It's just Vuc & Williams that should be moved on but everyone else has their place.
There’s 11 point guards on this team
Tre Jones
Jevon Carter
Giddey
Ball
Ayo
Coby White
THT (maybe?)

You and I define franchise player very differently.
Giddey has been very good lately, but he can't be the best player on a team with championship aspirations.
Giddey is 22……
You may be right. But regular players don’t do what he’s been doing over the past month or so. It’s one thing to get hot for a handful of games. But once you get up past 15-20 games doing what he’s doing, it starts to feel like more of a trend than an anomaly.

He’s not smart and while he’s decent on defense just in comparison to most of the other Bulls I would direct you to his “defense” on Austin Reeves on the last Lakers basket if you think he’s even above average on defense generally. He’s the only one physically who can match up with other big scoring wings but he is not skilled enough or smart enough to actually be good at it.
