Stans of Frank, RJ, Obi and now KAT would constantly attack us if anyone said a bad thing about those guys and no one does anything about it. It’s incredibly biased around here. So I’m just gonna lurk until I see some changes around here cause this board is in bad shape right now. Peace bredren.

 One of the most pathetic things I ever seen on a forum in my travels. "Peace"

I'm just glad we got rid of Randle, and I'll take Kat all day over that guy. Thank God we didn't keep him around and give him the contract he was looking for. We were never going to offer that to him anyway, and he would have walked while we got nothing. He thinks he's the number 1 option when he's clearly the 3rd. He had a huge attitude problem, and you could tell that people didn't like playing with him. On top of that, he absolutely choked during the majority of the playoffs. He kind of reminds me of Thibs. They both helped make the Knicks somewhat relevant again, and I thank them for their contributions, but guys like that will never take us to the promise land. I'm not saying Kat will, but he's the better player and easier to root for.

the kat vs randle thing is a distraction from the real issue. the knicks needed to get a real costar for brunson and neither one of them is ever gonna be that. but by making the kat/mikal trades they have pretty much made that impossible. that's the problem.

Assuming they never made those trades, what do these trades for "costars" look like?

Lets take Giannis or Durant for example.

You think either team would've taken Randle who wants a new contract, Bojan's expiring, a bunch of picks for either of them?

I said I would trade Randle for Embiid (before he broke down) and Giannis. I always wanted a big upgrade if it was ever available. But now we have no avenue to really make that happen now with the KAT and mikal trades

it's why the focus is all on thibbs now too. because logically if it's not the coaches fault, you'd have to admit to yourself that we're f*cked.

if they wanted to come here. guys get to go where they want usually. but you need to give up a package that's at least competitive. and you never know who becomes available. luka wasn't available until he was.

i think you can get durant for a lot less because of his age anyway. you might even be able to trade kat for him. but that'll give you like a 2 year window. it's pretty risky.

Durant isn't going to allow himself to be traded here, he didn't want to go back to GS and killed the trade they had lined up. He never wanted to come here, so he wasn't going to be okay getting traded here.

Giannis? We'd be competing with the league, he would have to explicitly say he wants to come here. The trade package we used to get Mikal wouldn't be enough for Giannis if the league is involved and he doesn't outright say NY or nothing else.

I never reported anyone on here, but I do support snitching as it's very underhanded and I'm all about taking the low road. My bad if that's what happened, but you should have reported them as well, snitching is always welcome.

This is what’s so hard to endure. Everyone knows everything better, but what the F would they do? What were the actual alternatives? Oh, Giannis, of course, how stupid of me  folks are acting like Towns and Bridges are to blame that we haven’t landed Giannis or Wemby yet. All these players’ teams are behind us, KD, Jokic, Curry, Edwards… and the rest of them. But to posters here they have to be the answer to our problem.

And these very same people would complain about Wemby‘s inconsistency and Luka’s weight or Giannis‘s jumper.

The real question is: who in their right mind wouldn’t have traded this clown for Karl Anthony Towns? And needless to say, the posters still complaining didn’t even realize how good KAT actually is in the first place. They’re still in their feelings.

I wouldn’t even say that there is a real problem. This team can compete next year. I don’t see why not.

Doc Rivers is the opposing coach though. One of the few coaches Thibs can outcoach. Occasionally.
