Doesn’t seem like a personal issue like a sex scandal. They are just unhappy with the performance of the coaching staff in general

Jenkins has had no idea what his best combos are and makes way too many substitutions than necessary.

He gets rattled easily and outschemed by other coaches into playing their game.

Grizz need confidence in their coach, systems and each other going into the post season.

They had none with Jenkins leading the team. Now they can find some.

They couldnt do worse and can now hopefully do better with their weakest playoff link gone and Ja coming back.

But we'll see...

If these Lisaslo rumors are true even tho the timing is crazy, it makes a little more sense to me.

People may have thought the Dwayne Casey firing was bad given the raptors having their most successful run in franchise history and running up against a juggernaut in LBJ but I felt that Casey was limited in the playoffs and I welcomed the change in Nurse and so did the team.

This situation is still weird because Memphis has been without their best player but if they feel Lisaslo is the future, it makes sense to get him on board asap, so he can get some reps in

Unless there's some behind-the-scenes issue, this is a really disrespectful thing to do. You're 9 games from the playoffs and you're doing well. At this point, you should give your coach a chance in the playoffs.

Jenkins will get another job. The reason the Grizzlies can't move to contender status is because Morant just isn't good enough. Not because of the coaching. The Grizz have the roster, but their "star" is overrated.

The Hawks should fire Snyder and hire Jenkins.
Atlanta is going no where under Snyder.

Wait, an american coach gets fired with a 1st year euro prodigy coach allegedly being his successor, and there are zero "tHeY tOoK oUr JoBs" memes here?
I'm disappointed, guys.

Even if true, the timing? You do this in the offseason.

this team is 6th best in ORTG AND 11th best in DRTG while missing their Top PG for 30+ games and who is their SF BTW?

Yup, the #1 team in the East has been doing this very thing, all season, I'd say it works in a marathon not sprint season.

You beat me to it.

Playing all his players less then 30 minutes a game no matter the situation was driving us fans crazy for years now and the players aswell.

Sure you get great story's of development like Scotty pippen JR however it makes no since for him to share the minutes with JA 50/50.

In my opinion Jenking is one of the best development coaches in the NBA but his x/o s and game plans are in the botton of the league.

Ok you guys are about to find out what bad coaching looks like-

Most of these coaches don’t even have a definable strategy- at least you know what Jenkins is trying to accomplish- and i checked - his playoff rotations are tighter and the starter minutes are up in the playoffs -

So you are frustrated that he A- gives his starters more rest in regular season B- gets more bench players engaged and developed in regular season C- do great with the play calls-

Hope the next guy is better at it but it’s unlikely

Right now Grizzlies and Lakers are positioned to meet in the 1st round of the playoffs.
(Putting my tinfoil troll hat):
I guess the League saw how Lakers have struggled lately, so they, the League, decided to let them advance to the West semis in an easy way. In the 2nd round it will probably require SGA being deported back to Canada due to visa problems.

Tariffs gonna be applied to Canadian workers - making SGA cost a billion a game

His name is "Iisalo" with two "i" letters at start, not "Lisalo" with an "l" as first letter.

For example, if a dudes name is "Aaron" then you don't for some reason call him "Zaron", right?

Meaningless stats that dont pass the on court or post season eye test.

Why not just wait until the offseason? Makes no sense to do it this close to the playoffs

Yeah, it's more likely they're gonna learn they've been living in a coaching penthouse lookin down on all us peasants and commoners.

It's ok to want more but .... odd're against the next one being better.

Honestly it's more likely that Jenkins will go to his next job and make everyone wo Der what tf MEM was thinking.

There's no way that this is just basketball reasons. Even if this is a Casey/Nurse situation where you feel the assistant is the better choice, disrupting continuity at the end of the season when you should be prepping for playoffs is such an insane idea. You can't wait another month and fire him when it's time? Let the team build with the new coach with a full training camp under him?
