If he fully tore (ruptured) something, he will require surgery and be out for a long time. It looked bad, but luckily he first landed on his right foot. The twisted left foot landed moments later. It was not twisted under his whole weight. Whatever your favorite deity is, I recommend you start praying for a clean MRI. No JT no title.

^^ That’s bleak. I don’t think it’s that bad.

Would be nice if Cs had an actual medical update besides DOUBTFUL for Suns game though.

"I'm feeling good, man. There's a few benefits to being 27. You know, you recover a little bit faster. I'll be alright." -- Tatum, on his ankle injury, on Kelce Brothers podcast

My guess is he won't get amputated anytime soon.

You never want your players to get dinged but since it seems this is a very minor injury, it could turn out as blessing in disguise. JT never wants to rest. Not the load management type. Fates are telling him to sit and relax. This could be an opportunity for his body to recover and prep for the postseason. He could always come back for the final three games or so if he just wants to get back into game shape.

Random... Tatum has an active streak of scoring 15+ in a game. It's now at 105 games, the 17th longest in NBA history (most in franchise history). He could move up to 14th ahead of Embiid (114), Jerry West (112), and Wilt (112) before season ends but I doubt he plays enough games.

Even in best case scenario I do not want to see JT playing in March at all. Come April let's reevaluate. Sit down and get some rest and family time, champ.

JT iso highlights from this season. The folks on reddit proudly pointed out a lack of flopping.

Per @YoungNBA (Shane Young):
"Jayson Tatum truly doesn’t get enough credit or praise for being available as often as he’s been. In terms of superstars, it really doesn’t get better.

Tatum has played in 692 of the possible 739 games since he was drafted. That’s 93.6% availability."

And they've been very impactful minutes...

I don't think I even knew JT had siblings. Nice little fluff article about them from People Magazine:

I caught him red handed trying to claim the Mavs lost the finals due to random three point variance which immediately fell apart. Very knowledgeable but hides a bunch of weak arguments inside text walls.

I went back and forth with him so many times but at this point my eyes involuntarily glaze over and I don't even read his JT posts anymore. I just don't understand why he is the most active poster in every Tatum thread and presents himself as the world's foremost expert on a player he doesn't like and doesn't even seem to watch.

It’s hilarious he’s the meme where the guy runs off into the horizon revising his statement the whole time

He's been going hard lately. I'm only reading so many posts, but it looks like he's recently moved from, "JT shot really bad in the finals," to, "JT was horrible on offense," in one of those threads lol. I'm down to pick apart JT's shooting struggles, but the rest of his offense is still running on all cylinders during those slumps. He's still a tremendous offensive player, even in the middle of a shooting slump, who can run the sets and move 4 or 5 defenders on the court at any given time with his gravity.

JT's shot wasn't there, no. He didn't crater our offense though. We still needed him out there as much as any guy on the team.

I will eat my foot if he actually watched the Finals. He is the loudest and most repetitive of the handful of Tatum detractors on the GB who just don't make any sense to me as someone who watches the games.

It finally hit me that most of these posters watched roughly 3 quarters of last year's Finals and then turned it off since it wasn't competitive and the team they were rooting for sucked. And I've spent the last 9 months scratching my head at their assumptions and false assertions of what happened. In his case it is extremely tiresome.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I should probably stop now, so I will. And I'll give myself a warning for talking **** on a poster lol.
