Because when, not if they failed in the off season it would have been GM Kleiman following Jenkins out the door.

Kleiman bought himself a postseasons grace and threw Jenkins under the bus.

It's what Memphis has been doing in Kleiman and Jenkins tenure.

You can't wait another month and fire him when it's time? Let the team build with the new coach with a full training camp under him?

No, it was basketball reasons.
They also let 2 assistants go as well, both Jenkins hires as well.
Jenkins apparently just lost the locker room over the course of the season.

His name is "Iisalo" with two "i" letters at start, not "Lisalo" with an "l" as first letter.

For example, if a dudes name is "Aaron" then you don't for some reason call him "Zaron", right?

You realize that a lowercase l and a capital I look almost identical, correct?

No one would confuse a z with an a, lmao

Stylize it as iisalo, people won't be able to pronounce it either way lol

Can you give some specific examples?

Last night against OKC 4th quarter
JJJ hits a 3 (24pts) to go up by 2 against OKC with 7:41 left in the game .... 99-97
JJJ had scored the last 7pts for the Grizz 7-1 run for the Grizz
At 6:16 He's subbed out for Aldama (99-104) OKC has a 7-0 run really fast.
This is where former DPOY and last 7 points made is subbed out ... HERE ...
At 4:37 JJJ is brought back in (99-112) Grizz have scored zero points while he's on the bench.
Next possession JJJ hits a 3 but there's less than 4 minutes left, shiteshow, lost momentum ensues \Game over

That's just JJJ and just last night.

I mean that's his normal rotation

Wait, he went to Wharton? I was semi joking about him maybe being at Diddy parties but now that honestly looks like an actual possibility and wouldn't rule out Jeffrey Epstein plane rides. Mango Mussolini went to Wharton on the Fred Trump scholarship

That's the problem. Coaches need to be able to adjust their rotations on the fly based on what is happening in the game.

I suggest you apply for the next HC position then

I remember when he benched Adams 2 years ago against Wolves and scraped by with his only playoff series win, only to bring a covid ridden Adams back to a squad that injured themselves going too hard in the first round.

The last Thunder game is a microcosm of that and indicative of how the post season would play out.

The guy will be lucky to get another NBA head coach gig and struggle to do much more then run scrimmage in a contending team.

China beckons...

Memphis is maximizing their potential.

This is crazy.

Maybe a personal problem with whoever made the call.

You simply don't do this right now unless there's serious personal friction.

Here it is. Not as bad as I remembered, but not great:

Nuggets 1-1 (Has not faced the Nuggets with Jokic this season)
Lakers 1-2
Clippers 0-3 (Clippers sweep series)
Warriors 1-2
Timberwolves 2-0 (Grizzlies win the season series)
Mavericks 2-1 (Only game they played against Luka was the game they lost)
Kings 1-2 (Kings win season series)
Suns 4-0

Feels a bit generous calling the Suns contenders

100% something happened behind the scenes that we aren't being told.

Similar thing happened with Gersson Rosas and the Wolves. He had the Wolves on the up and up and out of left field he was fired.

Well, bc there are not a whole heck of a lot of words that start with ii in the English language lol

ii makes a long e sound but if someone told me they were both silent, I'd belive them. Shoot, if someone told me they made an i sound, I'd believe that too.

Anglicized pronounciation is roughly EE!suloh, any Keegan-Michael Key impersonations are not mandatory. Tuomas is just what you would expect.

Genuinely one of the absolute dumbest firings of all time. They are tied for 4th seed in the west with a good but not great roster, and the season is almost over.

English is not my native language so I often forget that English orthography is nonphonemic (ie, not pronounced as written). My native language is relatively phonemic (we do have our irregularities as well, though) so my natural instict is to just try to pronounce foreign words as written but I can see why that would be an issue for native English speakers.

Playing all his players less then 30 minutes a game no matter the situation was driving us fans crazy for years now and the players aswell.

Sure you get great story's of development like Scotty pippen JR however it makes no since for him to share the minutes with JA 50/50.

In my opinion Jenking is one of the best development coaches in the NBA but his x/o s and game plans are in the botton of the league.

Ok you guys are about to find out what bad coaching looks like-

Most of these coaches don’t even have a definable strategy- at least you know what Jenkins is trying to accomplish- and i checked - his playoff rotations are tighter and the starter minutes are up in the playoffs -

So you are frustrated that he A- gives his starters more rest in regular season B- gets more bench players engaged and developed in regular season C- do great with the play calls-

Hope the next guy is better at it but it’s unlikely

Yeah, it's more likely they're gonna learn they've been living in a coaching penthouse lookin down on all us peasants and commoners.

It's ok to want more but .... odd're against the next one being better.

Honestly it's more likely that Jenkins will go to his next job and make everyone wo Der what tf MEM was thinking.

The wizards will take Jenkins right now- Jenkins won’t be unemployed for long -
