A bigger Jimmy Butler with a jump shot. And, one hopes, better off-court behavior. That's the closest comp I can offer. If you're having trouble seeing the similarities, here they are -

1) They're point forwards, not simply scoring and/or rebounding forwards.
2) They don't make long outlet passes, they bring the ball up the court.
3) They control the pace of the game when in the half court.
4) They tend to take fewer shots early in the game, to get their teammates going, and demand the ball late.
5) They are often accused of being too unselfish -- their coaches want them to shoot more.
6) They are strong, physical players who draw a lot of fouls.
7) They are elite on-ball defenders, due to their strength and excellent agility for their size.
8) They are elite off-ball defenders, due to their focus and high BBIQ.

Tatum might also be a decent comp. Not during his first few years in the league, when he was a solo act. But his playmaking has dramatically improved, so that he now is pretty good at leading an offense.

I've said for a while, it's KG. Dude is gonna be a stud. I remember thinking that Matas was gonna suck when I watch his one-on-one exhibition video with Flagg, but it was just that Flagg was other-worldly so anyone would pale in comparison.

He’s really interesting to watch. I’m not sure I can think of a comp, stylistically. He’s just this big massive powerful force who plays with insane intensity and power while also having some delicate finesse aspects to his game.

Honestly I see some Larry Bird in him. Bird was way more physical than most give him credit for, and an outstanding defender. Bird is the better shooter and natural scorer and always will be, but Flagg has a chance to be the better on-ball defender. Flagg is obviously more athletic (though again, Larry was way more athletic than most think). But they have some similarities in terms of motor and basketball IQ.

More to our likely range, watching that game last night can talk myself into Kneuppel more than I thought. That shot is good and he’s big enough to at least get in the way on defense.

I was def wrong about him being a #1 option.

He has developed tremendously this season and is a clear cut franchise cornerstone.

Whoa

he’s interesting and should hopefully be in the range of our pick

a rim protector and quick enough to switch onto guards on defense

his offense is hypothetical (Greg Anthony was saying his offense was more advanced than Embiid at the same age which is absurd) but he should be a good lob guy and he shoots well from the FT line and his form is good enough that you could see him being able to make NBA threes at a decent clip

Such a weird comparison. This is from Embiid's 2024 draft profile -

Embiid has very good scoring instincts and his offensive arsenal is still growing. He has excellent quickness and footwork and plays well both with his back to the basket and facing up. His offensive game already includes jump-hooks, drop-steps and turnaround jumpers.

Maluach, of course, does none of those things

Maybe Chris Webber? Not sure I remember much about Webber's intensity, but in terms of a two way elite forward prospect with great passing / ball handling an well rounded game on both ends, he seems similar.

Malauch gives me the feel of when your playing basketball and someone takes a bad shot and you are like "no no no" but then it goes in and you all celebrate.

That’s actually the comp I was thinking about. I also like Ice’s “Big Jimmy Butler”.
