Even though I've run exactly 87 7 round mock drafts according to the dash board... It's evolving a bit.

If you can grab a 2nd for moving back in the 1st, I'd reach for any of the Guards first and 2nd (Grey Zabel & Ratledge would be nice). I would take Booker at 18 if he's there and there isn't a f-me drop you have to just take... those guys might be Tyler Warren, Jeanty, Tetairoa McMillan. I haven't fallen in love with Jihaad, but I wouldn't be mad either, though I do think Emmanwori is more of a Mike pick who can be a S/LB no one knows as the D lines up and legit pull that off, so wouldn't be mad there.

There are some good mid round guys I like on O-Line and I think RT might be deep if you believe the scouting. I would take think Hollin Pierce at 6'8" 345lbs would be a guy I wouldn't mind, but then later there is Jack Nelson and two others I wouldn't hate. On that topic in the 2nd Jonah Savaiinaea could be a guard or RT and I'd be happy with him

I do think we should get a QB and though I dislike probably all of the top 4, I like Dillon Gabriel (oregon) and Riley Leonard (Dame), and dunno about maybe Shough if the other boxes are checked in rounds 4 on. Dart if he falls from the sky to 3rd round maaaaybe.

I wished I liked more safeties in this class, but I don't see some of the more talented ones fitting the scheme. I would take a flyer on Hunter Wohler in the 6th-7th if possible.

I don't know what to make of these CBs, especially now that the Pete size reqs are out the door, but we need one.
Also have a sneaky need for Edge with the never ending Nwosu injuries and Mafe needing a resign next year (we should imo). I prefer Landon Jackson over Stewart when you weight where they are likely to be available and maybe anyway. I don't like a lot of the top tier edge guys and I'd pass on all of them assuming Carter is gone in the 1st. Also we don't yet have a madbuike type on the roster which MM seems to always arm himself with (Edge that looks like DT... Red Bryant)... in the 6th or 7th Tyler Batty could be one, as well, but he's a wall vs run but not shown any pressure.

I haven't mentioned two guys I have been picking up a bunch but really like in Monheim and Majors at C, but here are my statistics (factoring in waaaaaaay too early mocks) and I do still like Fannin in the 2nd and think Kubes would too.

Tbh I don't love the idea of Emmanwori. I see Malaki Starks as a much better option.

I still view Jihaad Campbell as someone with a high ceiling. He's an off ball LB with the ability to rush the passer. You don't see too many guys with that skillset. He can wreak havoc. Hard to pass up.

Unless Banks or Zabel is the target, I think they might wait until Round 2 to take a Guard. Savaiinaea would be a good option.

I would not be shocked if they took Colston Loveland. Kubiak will target a TE early.

As far as QB's? I think Tyler Shough is someone they like. He fits the scheme. His film isn't bad either. They likely want someone to compete with Howell.

Would not be surprised, but would not be supportive here personally on Loveland.

Shough has buzz wish I knew more

This will be a telling draft. Last year MM was busy trying to find a staff, John surely didn't know Mike, likely had some lingering Pete ideals, and Grubb wasn't a politically powerful oc... not saying Kubiak is but he's an earlier install with more nfl roots so... so tough to call but do think we'll see something that paints an interesting picture in a month of influence and priorities both

I mentioned the possibility of Loveland being an option because the TE has such a prominent role in this offense. Kubiak will use a lot of 2TE sets. So, don't be surprised if they take a TE early. Tyler Warren would be the ideal match.

I don't think Shough has the highest ceiling. He's older too. But he might be worth taking a flyer on in Rounds 3-4.

Worst case: He's a solid backup for you.

I see a lot of Drew Lock in Jaxson Dart. I don't see him transitioning well necessarily to the league. Partly due to the offense that he ran at Ole Miss.

I did like Dillon Gabriel in college. But ultimately, I think he'll be handicapped at the next level because of his size.

I'm also out on Milroe & Ewers. None of the other guys really excite me.

Didn't watch much of either, but I do dislike when a RB is known to be a crap blocker and receiver like Giddons' rep, though he seems to be very a very good vision and navigating traffic back. So, good question-

with Walker on his last year and not much enthusiasm to resign him yet, Charbs in the wings as a banger with good hands, and don't forget McIntosh who was good once healthy and Holani the preseason workhorse... what is the type of guy we need assuming it's not a Jeanty/Hampton alpha? Do we need a 3rd down back, a jack of all trades, a short yardage wrecking ball?

I'm not sure tbh... early I liked Mafah, who seems to be on the outside now for scouts. Cory Kiner is supposedly a comitted pass blocker with enough wiggle to make him intriguing .

They should target someone who excels at running outside zone. Kaleb Johnson (Iowa) is kind of the perfect back for a zone scheme. But he'll probably get scooped up in the 2nd-3rd Round.

I think Giddens with his vision & ability to cut would be a really good scheme fit as well.

Damien Martinez is a tough & physical runner. Hard to bring down.

Corbin brought this up and it makes perfect sense to me that Willie Lampkin could be really fun to watch as a FB and could compete at guard, as well. 5'10" 270lb fb with pop.

not the most fun watch, but clear that Steve Smith thinks Tet is a one trick pony contested catch receiver and not WR1 in this class.

I really like Tre Harris (Ole Miss).

I would avoid Ayomanor (Stanford). The guy had a bad case of the drops. At least on tape. It wasn't pretty.

Jack Bech is the archetype for this offense. Keep that in mind.

If I haven't said it... I like Tyler Batty in the later rounds for an edge player. He's heads up, he's 6'5" 275, a vicious hitter, and while he's not a sack guy... he sets and edge and eats runners alive.
