Re: PG: Passing The Bucks
Morning thoughts
Nice win on the road which are always good and we should not complain about them. OG and Kal deserve a lot of credit for stepping up without Brunson. They've both been great for the most part.
Wright and Kolek both did enough to help at both ends. We looked stuck in mud on a few possessions but overall they did a good job and 116 points is fine.
Defense and rebounding was good all game. OG made life hard for Giannis and Mitch and Hart controlled the glass.
Thibs and the team need to start taking away and banning that Mike & Ike candy if Josh continues to turn down shots. It hurts the team and kills flow and morale during the game.
We just gotta survive these last few games and hope nobody else gets hurt. KAT scares me every time he recklessly drives to the basket and lands awkwardly. You can tell knee is not 100% and maybe it's why he takes plays off on defense. But every team is going through it this time of year. Cannot avoid it.
A very happy and blessed 80th birthday to the legend Clyde Frazier! One of the greatest to ever wear the uniform and still at his age one of the most entertaining guys on TV! Current players and younger fans need to respect and appreciate the OGs.
Very surprised Memphis fired their coach this late into the season. Makes me wonder if it's an illegal HR related firing where they had no choice. He's someone to keep an eye on if we fall on our faces in the playoffs and Thibs is let go.

Also, I hate that past post can be brought up. I know Ive said some heinous sht about melo in the past which I truly regret and also prolly hyped some terrible
players and one of you horrible people can bring that up when I'm talkin a lil sht and it's supposed to invalidated a great point I've made. Rude and unfair and dirty tactics. Accountability and consistency has no place in sports arguments.

I'd bet on it. Don't see us dropping to 4th or them climbing to 5th.
Won't go as far as saying it'll be an easy match up cause they still got Giannis but Dame will likely be out and Doc has his issues in the playoffs. As of right now it does seem like the easier opponent over Detroit and Indy but let's just get there first.

Real curious what the stat nerds have to say about our defense since Brunson has been out. If it's been a lot better or similar. Kinda sucks that deuce has been out cause I'm sure it would have been a lot better.
I'm real skeptical, even if we change coaches and get a better bench, if we can win with enough offense while having two really poor defenders on the court.
Nice to see mitch flash some of his old self this game. Hope he can get back to his old ways for the playoffs.

I'm talking about the melo not meLo
Which shouldn't need clarification cause everything I've said about meLo is true and I do NOT regret. If anything I've been too easy on him.

Thing is we’re not professionals who get paid to do this 24/7 and have the resources or access they do, and we’re far more emotional and erratic about everything.
Holding people accountable for shyt a decade ago is kinda dumb even tho it’s funny to fuq around. We all learn a lot as the years go by with all the info becoming more available and the game and analysis evolves, so it’s safe to say most of us were a lot dumber back then than we are today.

i couldn't agree w the bold more. i have no shame about changing my views. that's the mark of a thoughtful person lowkey...
and look, i disagree with melo all the time, but we never "get into it" like some butthurt people around here can't help bc this is a message board for shooting the **** and having fun. i'm smart and funny and so is melo so i like him whether or not we're on the same side of an opinion

there's limits to it though. everybody gets the draft wrong. but after several years in the league having people still claiming that rj was on an all-star path or that frank needed minutes ? nah. hit those people with tomatoes.

viewtopic.php?p=39726003#p39726003Kerr strikes me as a guy who isn't the type to like the scrutiny and spotlight he'd be under in NYC. I think he got the justification he needed to turn down Jackson (which I'm sure was difficult) and go where he really wanted...the better team, money and most importantly... closer to his family.
I only accepted Kerr because I thought it was a done deal. The guy I wanted from day one was Fisher. Hopefully we get him.
KAT Hart and OG are all playing, really well too.
Damn you’re a genius. You go back 10 years when I was barely 30 picking between two former players who’ve never coached a day in their life before. Even Kerr co-signed that prediction saying recently he would’ve been fired within 2 years, just like Fisher. I went with Fisher because he at least had something on his resume relevant to the job (managing personalities) as president of the players union back then. All we knew about Kerr was that he was a failed GM. It was a losing situation for anyone really with Phil n the triangle. You should know that the way you went to bat for Hornacek back then….
You even called 2017 a tank season![]()
Regarding Ron Baker tho, weren’t you on that wagon too? See the above quote of you wanting to watch Baker play ahead of Rose and Jennings![]()
If you wanna dig for receipts, everyone has a dirty past…I mean look at these other takes…
Glass houses bra….
Also, KAT, Hart, and OG are playing well sure, but if you’ve ever played the game you know injuries like these have lingering effects… they don’t just magically disappear just because they don’t complain or show it day in and out.
And idgaf if Derrick Rose said that. He’s a player and his words in this context don’t carry much weight. Nobody on the outside looking in thought that. Except you I guess
You had to dig up jokes in game threads- ok. Hornacek almost got us to the playoffs with KP and some mid/washed/bad players. not sure what else he was supposed to do; scheme Kanter and Jarret Jack to a championship?
The point is a team that starts Rose, Melo, Lee and Noah is not tanking. We will complain about the minutes with next coach after Thibs as we have always done.

Then why did you proceed to call 2016-2017 a tank season in the first pic/quote?

I agree 100%… we all have trash takes. I’ve admitted to mine often. I wanted to draft Okafor over Towns for example.

Me 10 years ago... i don't even know that guy. And now I have to answer for the dumb sht he said about past knicks players? Pls, someone come get your man. I shouldn't suffer the consequences of his dumb brash takes.
And game/postgame thread takes should be completely off limits. Riding on the highs and lows of Knicks games is bad for anyone's brains. Have some damn mercy. We deserve a lil grace in life.

I know for a fact i have some bullcht post floating around here saying I'm glad we drafted rj over ja and its haunts me
I knew a few months later that that I was dead wrong about that one.
To the point though, people just have a hard time admitting they're wrong. Me, I'm built different. I dont even know when I'm right I'm wrong so much.
