Memphis has had a chance lately to gain ground on the Lakers and Nuggets and have failed. Coach needed to go. His offense doesn't support his young star and he's not brilliant enough to create one that involves JA. Memphis is better off as the playoff approach.

that doesn't make any sense
this offense that Ja Morant is so "against", was installed by Tuomas Iisalo their lead Assitant coach who is now the interim headcoach...
oh and btw, Iisalo is def brilliant. he's alot more brilliant than Ja Morant and if the Grizz have an ounce of sense, they'll trade Ja in the offseason. he isn't good enough, injury prone, a headcase and his playstyle will innevitably lead to more serious injuries. they could still get alot of value for him and they have a really good roster with a some great vets in JJJ\Bane etc. but also some very promising young talents
they could set themselves very well for the future if they move on from Morant and give the keys to Lisalo*instead, he could be the next Popovich.

Hell im sure plenty of posters in here would take Garland ahead of him.
Everybody in here thinking Jenkins was **** his staff or calling someone the N word. And it's Morant throwing a fit because he isn't featured in the offense more LOL.

Kings maybe?
Sunlight wrote:Iisalo is going to shock the entire NBA. Now he has freedom to bring his own offense to the table. Memphis front office didn't want another team to hire Iisalo as head coach, so Jenkins had to be fired. Iisalo is already being paid a lot more than assistants have been used to.
Strong belief that Memphis will win the West now that Jenkins is not stopping Iisalo from implementing a new modern way to win in the NBA. The weapons for that system are insanely tough.
