Good video from Phil.

I think PRR owes some of us a shoutout for his content

Often it seems like one of our hot topics shows up in his next show...or, he's just one of us.

I like him a lot... And listen to his YouTube on my walls in the morning. Yeah.... Getting near daily content all season round is impressive.

Just checked Chicago remain8ng schedule. Its about as easy as it gets. With the way Bulls are playing they are getting to 40 wins no problem. And they have a tiebreaker on us, so we must get to 41 wins, which doesn't look possible at the moment. So best case scenario we jump Atlanta and most likely go to Chicago to play for 7. Worst scenario we drop to 9 and it will likely will end our sorry season as I doubt we can produce 2 playin wins.

Huge 2nd and 3rd quarter from Miami to dump all over the Hawks.

Look: whether the Magic is at home or on the road against Atlanta, I lve the Magic to win game-1 of the play-ins and be the 7-seed.

Chicago and Miami both playing well in the last week for th 9-10 chase.

The 7-8 and the 9-10 races are fun!

Thing is, it's not.
Maybe on better team ,with some offensive firepower it would be, but for us who play ugly offense and struggle to score, his problems are too big to ignore.

Like, guy has 3rd lowest net rating on a team. Only two worst- rookie and second year player.

Just to add, his inability to adjust is just brutal. He is not PF in modern nba, he does nothing PF- like on offense, but he also doesn't do anything C like on offense , and in same time he can't even defend that well as C due his block-chasing habits & inability to box out bigger guys.

When Moe was healthy ( and especially last year with Ingles and Moe) his role didn't look that bad, but without scoring punch off bench, him being one of most useless offensive players is huge issue.

I actually disagree. I have him as averagish on defense this year. Has no value on offense unless he hits the corner 3 so he needs to be well above average on defense to be worth playing. Still can get steals and blocks, but doesn't have the lateral quickness he did last year in my eyes.

They can get out of the contract if he plays fewer than 52 games any of the next couple of years I believe, just draft a big and bury Isaac on bench  Only playing 10 minutes a game as is, seems like it would be hard for him to have a legit grievance at that point.

Though I will say Isaac's defensive rating is still really good, so maybe my eyes are wrong here and maybe some team would still be willing to trade for him. Could be in part because he was playing more minutes when we were good. Goga, Mo and Suggs defensive ratings are still really good for instance, but my eyes could definitely be wrong too.

Regardless I still think his overall impact this year is below average.

Even if his defensive rating is best in nba. If you play 10/48 min you simply don't make that much difference, especially because he plays in those low stake parts of a game like late 1st quarter od mid 3rd.

Needless to say, when you play 10 min a game ,you also play offense, and guy has 104 offensive rating. List of players with worst offensive rating, who don't play on Pelicans, Wizards nor Hornets really isn't long.

Yeah as it stands as a 10 minute a game player that can't do anything on offense he is basically worthless.

But I will admit, I maybe was underrating his defensive impact a bit, plus the offensive rebounds are nice. If he could play 18 minutes like he was early in the year and could at least respectably make the 3, then his defense at 15 mil a year really wouldn't be THAT bad. The problem is I don't know why Isaac will get any better as he continues to get older. Seems like everything will only get worse from here.

Jonathan Isaac simply doesn't play with heart or passion, he needs to sit his behind down and collect his money! He's too soft aka Kwame Brown!

Our current coaching staff is nothing to sneeze at because they allow him to play uninspiring basketball, by allowing him to get less physical and miss three after three camped out in the corner! NO!! Get down low and play real basketball with post moves :noway:

Charles Barkley in his prime is a 6'4" power forward with a relentless mentality and motor, no wonder why he called a bunch of today's players "stiffs!"

I miss the impactful JI from last season, like when our bench unit was actually really good. However, I do not miss him chucking up 3s

Looks like JI bulk up plan didn't go well. He needs to get back to his normal weigh and focus on condititioning. We need him to play 20 mpg and like 7 straight mins in the 4th to finish games if needed.
The good news is that he was available for most of the season, didn't miss many games due to injuries.

I always ask this question: did I score more points than the guy I am guarding. For Isaac; the answer is usually no (as his offense is so poor). So even if he only gives up 6 points in 15 minutes played, he only scored 3 = he was a net negative player who hurts the team.
