KAT also has a considerable impact on defeats, being terrible defensively playing at 5 is a big problem, in my opinion.

Good thing they have that guy named Mitchell Robinson ,who they can put at the 5 and slide KAT to the 4.

Sure, and I'm a fan of Robinson...but availability is a huge issue for him, he's played 43 games in the last 2 years, it seems extremely risky to trust him.

Dont like towns, never liked towns, didnt like ny trading for him to begin with. But phx in such a bad spot it makes sense for them.

Ny would need to find a way to get some big man depth though. Robinson hasn't reliably stayed healthy for them. Is there a bridges for a big man deal that'd make sense?

KD will be 37 next season but he is better than Towns. Knicks would have a better shot at winning the title with KD than Towns.

Towns makes more sense for the Suns than KD because their team is going nowhere with the current core. They move KD for a legit All-NBA level player in his prime.

Knicks get hard capped at the first apron which is probably a no go if they are getting Durant. I’d never recommend a one for one swap for either team. I think both should break down the players for extra depth.

And maybe I’m being a homer but I don’t think the value is that off. A healthy Durant might have won this series for NYK. KD is a ceiling raiser that KAT just isn’t. But yeah, he will provide a better floor for a team for a much longer time.

regardless of the value of two, i really hope the suns don't do this as a suns fan, i can't stand watching kat play basketball with his constant hooking the defenders arm and falling down and zero defensive awareness and effort , I think KD ends up in Minnesota for a deal based on Randle, which isn't any better basketball wise, but i can tolerate Randle's sulkiness better than Kat's antics

KDs agent wants him in a Knicks jersey. It will be a lot more complicated than a one for one if it happens. I’d put them with the Wolves and Heat as my most likely landing spots. Texas teams will have interest too and I bet there will be a dark horse or two as well.

It's a decent idea. I mean Durant would give them more offense variety

A trade for KD hardcaps the Knicks at 2nd Apron, they will need to find center on the vet min.

I like it for both
NY gets a better fit for a one year run, while the East should still be relatively weak.

Suns add the rights to the #29, best big available, to help NY with depth

Suns get the younger star

Ever heard of Mitchell Robinson???
KAT defense is so bad Knicks basically had to do what wolves did but without mortgaging there future assets like Wolves did with Rudy Gorbert.
KD is also in the last year of his deal so if he dont come back it would open up a ton of cap space plus a proven scorer next to Brunson

Mitch My guy but injury prone. Knicks have another young center who should get playing time next year also that does not solve KAT issue with defending pick & roll and picking up the most silly fouls.

With his health you can't rely on him full time at the 5.
