George Clooney?

Didn’t watch it. Clooney fits in the same slot as affleck and Patterson, guys that shouldn’t be Batman. I don’t know. Nothing against them personally but they’re all kinda soft, perhaps too much of a nice guy for the role.

At least Bale has some crazy to him and is way more believable as Batman, in my opinion of course.

Only believe in Jokic, SGA, Luka and Giannis as true batmans. SGA the only one who hasn’t really proven it yet in the playoffs but I suspect he will this season.

Tatum is borderline, not a true batman but a clear level above players like Edwards, Mitchell, etc.

Michael Keaton.

I remember when they announced that Michael Keaton had been cast as Batman, I was horrified. Keaton had done well in the 80’s as a frenetic Everyman in comedies like “Night Shift,” “Mr. Mom” and “Johnny Dangerously,” and he definitely had comedic timing and an expressive face that could make you laugh, which he used to full effect in “Beetlejuice” the year before. But the late 80’s was a world where superhero movies were questionable, and I was concerned they would play Batman for laughs and arty effects with Tim Burton involved.

However, after seeing Keaton play Batman, no one else can touch the role for me. The defining characteristic of Batman isn’t special gadgets or a cool suit. It’s the insanity that afflicted a grief-stricken boy who saw his parents be murdered. Batman is a tragic hero. Michael Keaton gets that, and conveys it with eyes and quirks that let you see a little of the crazy leak out.

That’s my Batman, and that’s why Michael Keaton is the only guy that can play him for me.
