Thank God BP isn't playing, because it would all be blamed on him.At least blaming Giannis exposes the serious posters from the unserious ones.

Three weeks ago I mentioned the possibility of trading Giannis. Not because he's to blame, but because he is the only asset the Bucks have besides an aging Dame.

Its not that he's to blame, it's that he's the least plug and play superstar in the league maybe ever. A team has to be built very distinctly around him or it won't work. And he's never been a vocal leader, he does his mean mugs and other bs but we all know it was PJ and Khris leading in 21. He's just not making guys around him better anymore.

I fundamentally disagree. He's second on the team in assists. He is triple teamed every time he has the ball because there is no Khris Middleton on the team (and now Dame is gone).

This team, without Giannis, is probably the worst team in the league. He is still a superstar that makes everyone around him better. He isn't as gifted offenisvely as Jokic, but is loads better defensively.

BUT HE HAS HORRIBLE TALENT AROUND HIM AND HIS COACH ISN'T DOING HIM ANY FAVORS.

I just watched Brook box out two guys, and 3 Bucks, including Giannis, stand there, watch the ball bounce to a Hawk's player.

Yep. Totally Brook's fault.

The Kohl days were at least easier because there was no expectation. I don’t know how a team with an MVP candidate can be this bad.

He actually now has one rebound. But ya, at 7 foot, it is his fault that he only has one rebound. No blaming Giannis or Portis for this one.

When he's boxing out to no one, he to realise that he needs to go up and get them himself. Too often he's boxing out when he's the only guy under the basket. No point doing that.

Or, you know, the team could defensive rebound. Like, they are supposed to?

For being a vet for this long, his ball awareness is disturbingly low. Always seems spatially challenged when it comes to the trajectory of any rebound.

Brook is 7 foot 2 and has 1 rebound in 30 minutes. What are you even talking about?

As of today, here's where I rate the talent on the Bucks:

1) Giannis
2) Dame
3) Vacant
4)Vacant
5)BP
6) Rollins
7) KPJ
8) Trent
9) Lopez (aganst certain teams)
10) Green
11) Kuzma
12) Prince

Its an indictment against Doc that he starts #11 and #12 on my list. And it's an indictment against Horst that that's the list Doc has to work with.

Rollins for Trent when we need volume shooting is a choice. Doc sucks.

thanks for the stock take

giannis is the ultimate pickup player. i played at rucker in my youth and he would have been "the man". i played with guys back then that should have made the league and talked to alot of coaches sitting there and i remember asking some of them... how are these guys not in the league?

a coach from back then named pete gillen i knew once said... look....alot of these guys have the talent to score 30 in an nba game every night of the week. what you need to understand is that theyd be doing it and not another guy on their team would have the first clue wtf was going on while it was happening. in other words....not team players....and completely uncoachable.

im not saying thats giannis....but that kind of talent does exist. theres an aspect of how he plays that has ALWAYS reminded me of that comment that day

and that is not a stock take. theres something inherently **** with this team. like seriously ****. if you dont eventually start the core of it....and the core is of course the superstar...then maybe thats where the mistake is being made?

dame just added to it btw. i think we know that now. the fact we put the two of them together and their ceiling was 45-50ish wins is insane tho. like really?

OREB DREB

24-25: 23.6 72.8
24: 25.5 73.1
23: 28.4 74.5
22: 26.9 74.7
21: 26.9 75.5
20: 24.1 77.5

Shhh.... totally wasn't team strategy or coaching though. All Brook's fault.

Also, last year:

When Lopez was on the court with him last season, Giannis had an elite defensive rebound percentage of 27.3 percent. But when Lopez was off the court, Giannis' defensive rebound percentage fell all the way down to 19.2 percent.

Yeah, Prince is the guy that shouldn't be seeing the floor right now. There's a reason we've all been calling for hi to be removed from the starting line-up, and he's showing it again tonight.
