OKC has the pics and assets to make it happen if they don’t win this year.

He did it by himself. He stayed, delivered a ring on an hyperextended knee(the injury you choose to forget).
And he's the only active player with all the accolades a player can have. There's nothing he hasn't achieved.
In Milwaukee. Not in Los Angeles, in Golden State, in Boston or in Miami.

Well it's simple. Milwaukee would be looking for players that aren't lazy and miss some games. Sure Giannis puts on this chiselled elite athlete persona, but he is jut another lazy bum Euro that misses games.

On a completely separate and unrelated matter, there's a rumor Bucks ownership have a business they want to launch and that is the Wisconsin Belle Riverboat Casino. Let's see if that can get off the ground.

Jon Horst will go out for coffee with Rob Pelinka and then we'll see Giannis for Reaves, Koloko and a distant first rounder.

Yes he is.

Rockets make the most sense.

As a Knicks fan I wouldn’t trade OG and KAT for him though, he’s too injury prone. Plus OG in the last 10 days has unlocked his offensive game.

I dont think any star has gotten hate for leaving their team after multiple years and fulfilling their contract (i.e., not pulling AD to LA). The hate comes when they join multiple other superstars as in LeBron 4x, KD 2x.

If the Rockets flame out this year, I like the fit/potential return from there. Also feels like a Warriors type move.

Don't see the need for any of Boston, Cleveland, OKC to swing if it means disrupting the balance of their core.

If I'm Giannis

I think he wants to stay his entire career in Milwaukee, unless there is just a really compelling opportunity to play with someone else or someplace is.

I think he'd be willing to play with another star player - guys like Jokic or Curry.

I also think he's also excited by the prospect of playing in a big market, seeing how much more attention Luka is getting as a member of the Lakers. I think these things matter... based on this quote.

"I want Luka to the Lakers, I want Jokić to the Knicks. I want all the Europeans to go to all the big markets to see something incredible. This is what I want. This is my dream."

I don't know how it'd work but the Knicks would be interesting as well. Brunson, Giannis, and whoever they get to keep is definitely a contender.

If Adam silver has his say, Giannis to the Lakers, LeBron to Golden State and Jimmy/Kuminga plus warriors and lakers picks to Milwaukee

This is a good point. While passing on a perennial MVP candidate is tough, one has to remember the ironman-like durability of OG and KAT, as well as the 23ppg OG has been averaging over a meaty 10 game sample size.

I don't see OKC wanting Giannis, they already have their stars that need the ball and it'll be tough to gel Giannis into that. Rockets are intriguing but I wouldn't give up Amen if I was them. I feel like he'll end up on the Nets and they'll sign a free agent which I hope not, i rather build a team organically.

Myth wrote:Portland? They could return the Bucks pick and swaps, allowing the Bucks to tank, plus they have several young talents that could be sent, and some large expiring contracts. Everything the Bucks could want in a rebuild.

That was my first thought as well. The only problem I see is that the Bucks first and swaps are in 2028, 2029 and 2030. If they would trade Giannis to Portland this summer, they would be pretty bad now, but with their picks in the future. If they get some good young talent from Portland, they could be decent again from 2028 onwards. So the picks/swaps they owe Portland are somewhat on the wrong timeline.

Simons (expiring), Time Lord (expiring), Camara, another young guy, Bucks pick in 29, Bucks swaps in 28 and 30, Blazers pick in 31 wouldn't be a bad deal though.

LeBron literally completed every contract he was on, he never asked to be traded.

Rockets for sure, but Bucks won't get Amen. I know it's hard to keep track of other teams' internal happenings, but for clarity if the Rockets had to trade the whole roster and all picks minus one player, they would keep Amen. We went from thinking he's a utility man to realizing he's a very rich man's Jimmy Butler. You certainly can't play Amen, Sengun and Giannis together (none of them can shoot). So if any of the big 3 have to go, most likely it would be Sengun.

Truth be told, FVV's expiring contract plus our 2 best picks can't be beat by any team in contention for Giannis' services so there's no leverage in getting a young ace from the Rockets. OKC would have to offer like 4 picks to match the quality of those 2 picks and still they would have to attach players who's contracts are so undesirable to a rebuilding team (e.g. Hartenstein, Dort, Joe). So OKC probably looking at Hartenstein + Joe + 4-5 mediocre picks just to match our offer.

Might not be a good fit with Rockets though. OKC has a stretch 5 and can go 4-out around Giannis. Rockets have both Amen and Sengun who can't shoot.
