Re: Brewers/Royals Series
I’m having flashbacks to the pitching staffs of the mid/late 1990s…

Can't believe I'm saying this but I guess I'm gonna have to start looking into the 2026 MLB Draft class.

This has been a catastrophic start to the season.

Re: Brewers/Royals Series
How does this even happen? We lost one player... ONE.
(and he typically sucks to start the season)
EDIT - alright, a couple middling sucky pitchers as well, but seriously!?

This was needed. Mark needs this **** to happen. Can’t expect your front office to pull rabbits out of their asses year after year

It like bucks opponents hitting a higher than normal 3pt % for years, teams believe they can hit homers/score runs on us, it become contagious on both sides.
We’re gonna give up a thousand runs this year.

Think I saw Chad Patric starting tomorrow. Saw he was good in AAA last year but don’t know much about him.

Brewers liked him enough to trade for and then protect in the Rule 5. He had a nice season last year but the peripherals weren't as rosy as the low ERA suggest. Good five(ish) pitch mix, sits low 90s but he was hitting 96 in his first appearance this season. Probably reverts back to 92-94 tomorrow. I think he was always destined to be the next man up in the rotation and I'm anxious to see how he does. I think he's good enough to not be a AAAA type, but who knows?

With all the injuries to the starting rotation, I wish we kept Shane Smith instead of losing him to the Rule 5 draft.

He's making his debut tonight and I'll be watching. He looked like a legit MLB pitcher last year (honestly more than Patrick) and I was pissed they left him unprotected.
But who knows, maybe he'll be like most Rule 5 picks and nothing of note.

Turang looked like he maybe hurt himself sliding into 2nd there, hopefully it was nothing.

I'm at the game. Several family/friends of Patrick behind the dugout, I'm a few rows up from them. Glad he pitched well.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Surprised Chourio is in such a slump to start the year with how hot he was all spring. Ah well, he'll get better.
