Well, LAL just lost to the bulls twice in two week (or less) and Memphis just fired their head coach while Ja and JJJ are hurt. I don't think we need to go 9-1 to finish 6th. I'm guessing 7-3 is enough but we'll see.

It’s all coming together…

we finish 7 or 8 and beat Memphis in the play in.

Beat the Rockets in the 2/7 matchup.

Beat the Wolves after they beat Nuggets in the 3/6.

Beat the Thunder in WCF.

Beat the Celtics in the finals.

Just have to keep winning. I don’t see them getting any help from the teams around them.

Warriors play Memphis, Clippers and Lakers down the stretch. Win these and Warriors have a great shot at 6 or 5th spot.

Clippers have a crazy easy schedule after the Cav's game. Memphis is on a free-fall.

Here's some stats sorted by PPG+Ast'd PPG, I tossed in the calculated ORTG, DRTG and the (ORTG-DRTG) to see the calculated +/- per 100 these players are providing. This is all season long stats just for Golden State so Butler doesn't have any lower numbers than most Warriors had when they were lingering around .500 after the hot start. For defense, you can see what each player is providing for points by scoring or creating scores. The NetRating (ORTG-DRTG) is what I like to see for a player's overall impact on the court.

Clips down 14 to the Cavs in the 4th. Bad news is their remaining schedule isn't that tough. But Dubs really need to win tonight if they are serious about avoiding the play-in (and I hope they are).

If they win out (gasp!) they would be the 4 seed with home court vs (possibly) the Lakers.

Pistons was up big until they got into a fight in the 2nd quarter and Sasser/Stewart got ejected. Wolves lost DiVincenzo/Reid but they managed to take over the lead in the 2nd half and got a W.

6-2 from here on out is probably ok. Can’t see the griz finishing above us so long as we beat them next.

Really need the nugs to win against the wolves up next too

First order of business is to hold off the Clips and Wolves.

Then, they have a great shot at jumping over Memphis as long as they beat them next game. Lakers are an outside shot but not likely.

But realistically, even with only 8 games remaining, they could still end up anywhere from #4 to #8.

Memphis hasn't won against a team with a winning record since Feb. 2, and face 5 winning record teams in their last 8, including the Celtics Warriors back to back.

Warriors have two road/home b2b's, which is weird, with the first being LAL/Denver. After Memphis, the Warriors don't change time zones.

In the end, the team needs to focus on just winning the next game. There are too many factors that will jumble the 4-8 seeding.

When was the last time GSW won a back to back at Denver? You are tired; you travel; and then you play a mile high with no acclimation time.

The denver game is at home. @ LAL, followed up Den in Chase. Gonna be tough either way.

So..Boston plays Jaylen Brown Saturday against mighty San Antonio with a sore knee, but holds him out tonight against Memphis.

Return to Golden State Warriors
