Mosley’s out of his league. That’s become extraordinarily clear. But they can surround him with better assistants and his effect is minimized. Players seem to like him. I’m not sure that matters.

Agree though - fire everyone not named Paolo, Franz & Suggs to the moon. I’d love to keep Isaac but they won’t **** play him more than 10-14 mins a game. And this colossal DIPSHÍT of a GM signed him to a LTC. It defies logic.

Ownership made them offer that deal is the logical reasoning. He is a conservative influencer and that jives extremely well with the ownership extremely conservative ideology. There is no other reason you would sign a guy that is unreliable and limited and missed significant time for 5 years.

I highly doubt that had anything to do with it. In fact, I’m sure it didn’t.

Isaac has been healthy all season. There is no reason he shouldn’t be getting rotational minutes at least. Hell, start him at C over Wendell.

He has not been healthy all season.

so Orlando played a good team and lost, that's your excuse?:) What are the expectaions right now?
I'll be okay either way. If we don't make the playoffs and we're in the lottery, that's where we should be. If we make the playoffs, it'll be a good experience for the young players. I'd just rather play Boston because it's a bigger stage. If we played the Cavs, it would be the TruTV series.

I think we are a slightly above .500 team right now and the proof is in the pudding.
Mosley‘s got the team back to playing hard and playing pretty well. My expectations are that we will compete with good teams and put ourselves in a position to win.

Hard to say that when you can’t even win home games.

AB's consistency is just... sigh... I know he'll be alright eventually but I still don't know what his ceiling is... and that's not a good thing.

When Suggs was ABs age it was the summer before his second season. I think AB has time.

He'll probably earn a 4 yr $60m dollar extension after next season and then blow up right after he signs the extension.

Nobody is suggesting Black doesn't have time on his side.

But you are inappropriately assuming Black is going to develop exactly like Suggs did. It doesn't work that way.

Playing pretty well is a pretty big overstatement, there is an improvement compared to the form of the first 2 months of the year, but that wasnt that hard. I am too lazy to dig it, but your prediction at the start of the season was something like 50+ wins and home court.... the team will probably fail to reach 40 wins - so how about admitting that the wheels have fallen off and this is a disappointing season?

They're saying 50/40/90 has never been done in men's or women's college ball or the WNBA.

I'm not suggesting it. I'm just pointing out that he's young, and I do think he'll develop a lot. We've already seen it this season

The lack of rebounding and toughness is becoming as problematic as the horrific shooting. There are just so many holes and I don’t know how you could look at Jeff’s track record and have any faith that he’s up for the challenge.

Any other team in the NBA losing their top 3 players for 20-50 games wouldnt do so well either. On top of losing their 4th highest scorer as well before the halfway point.

This season is a wash.

One of us is lying to ourselves and it ain’t me, brother. You are in the fire Mosley and Weltman camp when our top three highest paid players are JI, KCP, and Cole, and during a season when our three best players have played a total of 6 games together.

This is the cap sheet of a player development team and you are holding them to the standard of a contending team. Pause and appreciate how good our young core and coach must be to have fooled you into thinking they are contenders.

Bench player until otherwise.

Not consistent. Downright terrible tonight.

Just another scoring wing to sub in when one of Paolo and Franz come out.

I probably did predict 50+ wins. I saw a reasonable range of between 42 and 56 wins and chose to error on the side of optimism. I didn’t anticipate Paolo and Franz missing significant time.

We gotta stop talking about it like this.

The Magic have played CONSIDERABLY worse with their main guys healthy. Chalking this season up to injuries to Paolo and Franz is just not an accurate representation of what this season has actually been.

Again, they're 17-25 with Paolo in the lineup.

Consistently delusional optimism.

Return to Orlando Magic
