Sabonis and Jonas for Ayton, RWIII, Kris Murray and 9th Overall?

No.

That team is 45 wins a year and a first round out every year.

Blazers easily say yes to that unbalanced deal. Not sure who you’re speaking upon

Is Sabonis the big prize for the Blazers? I'm underwhelmed.

I should have been more specific

The value is heavily slanted toward POR, but it is the wrong move.

19/14, 60% shooting, might not require a huge parting of assets, perfect compliment to Clingan/Camara/Deni. Blazers easily reach top front court potential.

What’s the argument?

Not good enough to be the best player on a contender.

I don't think Portland is an a position to consolidate their assets like this.

I agree with this.

In a situation where the only thing you’re giving up is the 9th pick, I think Portland would almost have to say yes. I don’t think Sacramento would, nor is Sabonis someone I would target at a higher asset cost.

We’re not talking about that. We’re talking about using our assets to acquire a somewhat distressed all star.

Period, that’s a good move if you are just parting with a pick or two and a vet

I would consider this

We probably don't have anybody on the team right now to throw towels at Sabonis tho... so there would need to be a follow-up trade of some sort

Honestly I don't see the value here for sacramento at all. Sabonis is one of the best centers in the NBA, and the packages being offered here don't even include the best prospect from your team. Why would the kings consider this at all?

I think a deal would have to start with Deni and Clingan. If not I don't see a deal worth considering for the kings.

If we are trading Sabonis who still has mutliple years on his contract we have to get a major piece, not dimes and nickles.

Hard pass for POR.

Honestly don’t see a deal that works for both teams and that is a good thing.

I agree. I just don't see the point in the trades being offered in this thread for the kings.

Sabonis is a fine player but I think he is a difficult player to build around due to his defensive shortcomings as a center.

I love him as a target for Portland, I don’t understand what people are thinking here.

You’re def not getting Clingan or Deni, we’re invested but we have a ton of enticing unprotected 1sts
