Also grimes is what he has always been. Soft. Didn't put up sht until the game was outta hand. And he is a chucker. Glad that scrub is gone. And i hope the 6ers throw the bag at him.

If there's a game where you'd try something new, I'm thinking it would be this one? Seemed intentional.

The lesser of the Bagleys, one might say.

I was also surprised by that development.

I like Wright's defense. The team seems to get stagnant after a bit with him. Kolek just seems to make everyone hit their shots. The ball moves. It's crazy that he doesn't even look to score and we are always a positive when he's out there basically. I'm less worried about the backup PG moving forward now. We can spend our pennies this off season elsewhere if we want.

win is a win but it was very ugly.

positives were shamet finding his shot but feels like a streaky player having a hot stretch more than "he figured it out" or something. mitch looked OK i guess. OG continues to be aggressive although not sure we want him stumbling and bumbling against quality defenses that will turn him over.

felt like a lot of guys were just going through the motions, especially hart. hart reminded me of preseason when he literally wasn't shooting at all.

couldn't even get the starters rest. bridges with 36 mins, OG 33, hart 32.

precious has stretches where he legit looks like the worst basketball player i've ever seen. and it's magnified by his unwarranted confidence.

maybe thibs will actually run a proper rotation in the playoffs and avoid any hart + non spacer minutes but I doubt it. i assume precious won't get any minutes in the playoffs but he'll still prob play hart 40 minutes and run him with mitch for some of them.

I'm pretty curious which way we go. Deuce was one of our most impactful players this year but does he become the odd man out? He can play a little 2. But if we bring Wright back we might have guard covered.

Kolek's defense has been a revelation. He's not Tony Allen out there but he can cover his man, swarm the lanes, and give some pressure, which is a huge plus.

that is terrible scheduling by the NBA.

Do better.

so many examples of bad scheduling. not only do we face them on a back to back but they haven't played since Sunday afternoon. knicks get to travel to a back to back facing a team on 2+ days rest at home. that should never happen but it's a regular occurrence.

Maybe PJ Tucker told OG you're 6'7" and built like a tank, go to the goddamn rim with aggression. He seems to have figured out that he's in fact one of the most physically imposing forwards in the NBA, out of nowhere.

Kolek definitely makes a difference for Shamet, and shooters in general, he actively looks for them when he gets into the lane.

Love how he seeks out contact in the open court. He bumps the defender and they go flying so he doesn't have to worry about any fancy sht to get the bucket.

I don't think there is a world where Deuce doesn't get 25 mins a night. He's our best POA defender and shooter.

A 2G we could really use right now is Quentin Grimes  Same benefits at 6'5"

I was gonna comment on his defense. He's directing traffic out there and talking. Covering his rotations. He pushes up when they try to switch and then recovers pretty well. He gets beat at times but, he's no traffic cone out there. He hustles and gives plenty of effort.

Kolek/Deuce is a nice bench but, talk about playing small. i don't want to think about trading Deuce right now.

It seems to have started when PJ Tucker joined the team, before he avoided contact, now he's hitting people like he finally realized he's 240lbs.

That's the thing. He deserves at least that much time. But with Precious leaving/not being good to begin with and Kolek panning + Wright potentially coming back cheap we're pretty stout at guard and thin at big wing/bigs.

At LEAST 240. His legs are like tree trunks.

He's been hitting the boards harder too.

I love him but, he needs to calm down with the wrecking ball dunks where he's flying off the rim and landing so awkwardly. I cringe every time.

We're not just playing for 3rd seed in the East

We have a shot at the 4th best record in the NBA to end the season.

If the Knicks make the Finals, they could have home court over any Western Conference team with the exception of OKC

Both the Lakers and Nuggets could beat OKC in the playoffs

I think Thibs sees that too, so he is going to coach like every game matters until the season is over

I think Deuce was better last season overall. He has had injuries more than once this season so that may be the reason, but his game did not evolve this season in any notable way. He was playing some of his best ball this year right he went down this time.

I'm a Deuce fan. Just thought he'd be even better this season, but he hasn't really.

TyKo showing some signs of life on defense, like Brunson he will always be limited by his physical attributes but he's a smart player who can provide some pesky presence on that side of the ball....just start hitting some dam shots doh and you'll be serviceable in the regular rotation even against quality opponents not just g-league tankathoners.

That's a year 2 thing though...
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.
