6"10 SG who is an elite rebounder and shot blocker. Elite athelte. Is quick w it. Gets to his spot. Zero bust potential imo

VJ is better than the guards infront of him too minus Harper, all those other guards will be defensive liabilities from day 1

VJ is small.

Ace is an elite athlete, 6'10 SG. Already an elite shot blocker for a SG. Way more defensive potential at SG.

I wouldn't / don't consider Ace a SG, but I'm a fan

Is Kon a playmaking Jameson Battle? That would be sweet but redundant on this roster.

Hoping for Florida Duke Finals.

I wanna see what Condon can do guarding Flagg. The other Chenlyu and Handlogten will matchup with Maluach and Ngongba.

Either him or someone in SF/PF similar would drop to our Portland pick
If we draft Queen or Maluach with our 1st, it would work well.

Isn't Thiero essentially Mogbo in role? I think it would be redundant.

Just draft Rasheer Fleming as he's a taller Thiero that can shoot the 3, with bigger wingspan and can play smallball C.

Everything they do the same, hyping the next draft.

It's funny because when you see player comps (lets use Edgecombe), you see them being compared to guys like Mathurin. I thought this draft waa loaded? Why are you shamelessly tanking just to end up with Bennidict Mathurin?

I think the only can't miss allstar in this draft is Flagg.. After that, it's anyones guess.

Player comps mean nothing in the grand scheme of things....Edgecombe possesses some elite defensive intangibles and some elite all world athletic ability....Just having them 2 things already makes his life as a pro much easier.....He can develop the other parts of his game which he needs to do....But no player at 18/19 is a finished product....You need to look at the things they can do already rather what they can't and say "What can he become if he develops this or that" ....

Same can be said for Bailey/Harper/Fears/Queen and so on....This draft class will be a good one down the road as the players develop in the NBA over time....

I get what you are saying.......just pointing out that these so called draft experts aren't really selling these players very well.

Some.will develop. Some won't. This will be the type of draft where the top 4 will get hyped like crazy & someone at 15 who doesn't get the same hype will come out of nowhere & outperform them.

Edgecombe probably will be a very good NBA player. Will he be the next Anthony Edwards? Probably not.....but you never know.

Thiero's FTr is elite and he scores significantly more unassisted buckets. In short, Thiero has better functional athleticism markers and better on-ball potential. Also took a much bigger jump than Fleming did over past year and played much more difficult comp. Thiero drew 12 free throws in 20 mins vs Florida, kinda nice. He has underlying markers for way better NBA outcome, USG was 4.6% higher than him too and has more juice as a passer.

I’m liking Kon a lot now. He’s got way more craft and skill than Battle or Gradey. If he’s a legit 6’7” and has decent wingspan I’d probably take him over VJ and definitely over Johnson.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

52 players in Bart era w/ BPM > 9, STL > 3%, BLK > 2.5%

Some of those names:

GP2
Draymond
Thybulle
Slo-Mo
Noel
Evan Turner
Danny Green
Porter Jr.
Crowder
Monroe
Eason
Delon Wright
Oladipo
Bridges
Williamson

Thiero is there. Many guys on list didn't make it but most of them either old or produced at small school vs. trash comp. The fact Thiero achieved this as 20 y/o vs strong SOS and Calipari product is important.

Another query:

TS% >60, AST% >10, TOV% <15, FTr > 60, BPM >9

11 players match -

Only two wings from big programs - Jimmy Butler and Adou Thiero (other wing Aniwaniwa Tate-Jones from UCSD)

I've been a fan of Adou Thiero as a prospect all season, and he's also produced like a Masai-type FRP all season, I'm just not sure if Masai would select an upperclassman with a top 10 pick, so I can't say for certain if he is a "Masai-type lottery pick" or not.
Tre Mann should have been a Top 10 Pick in the 2021 Draft

Good one. I think it's possible.

Originally I said Thunder Dan with better shooting, but Marjle was a great defender.

He is kind of my dark horse. He is not my preferred pick, but I find him more interesting than any other prospect available at 7. If they pick him, I am all in on it.

You just can't teach the type of basketball instincts that he has & he is a a fast learner & hard worker.

- Possibly the best shooter in College
- Very repeatable shooting stroke. Very disciplined form. Quick release.
- Can attack closeouts effectively
- Can dribble in traffic & make quick decisions
- Can throw excellent lob passes.
- Can effectively run the pick n roll
- Has pretty decent feet/ lateral quickness defensively
- Strong
- Can rebound well for a guard
- Very high basketball IQ & great feel for the game
- Great motor
- Aggressive
- Very active on and off the ball
- Played PG in his senior year of high school
- Smart dude. 3.93 GPA

* Bonus - Grew up in Wisconsin, so he won't be a complainer.

Seems like a winner. Excellent option for an already good team or a team in the middle like us. But I would honestly hope we get someone better who can put it all together, especially after tanking this season. I'd be good with him don't get me wrong if he's a Klay Thompson I'd draft him right away.

I watched a long interview with him and came away highly impressed, he takes the game VERY seriously. Some dude compared him to college Okoro but looking at Okoro, seems like a beta who just wants to cash his paychecks and doesn't care. I get the impression Thiero is gonna work his ass off to be great. Leap from So. to Jr. was impressive. He's a bulldozer but he doesn't play out of control and is starting to improve his counters when he can't get all the way to the hole (which he wants to do all the time - good sign). He's a freak.
