I think that Queta should go down too, with Scheierman.

Heat are on a 5-game win streak, second longest in the East behind Celtics' nine. They're still trying to move up to 7th seed while Cs have really nothing to play for (except avoiding the wrath of psycho fans like me who want to win every game).

Game agenda: Don't get injured, win, and move 3 Ws away from 60. Oh, it would be nice if the EOB-SRG get some PT.

Porziņģis w/ Horford: 121.4 ORtg (90th percentile), 108.4 DRtg (92nd percentile), +13.0 net rating (96th percentile)
Porziņģis, single big: 112.7 Ortg (39th percentile), 114.9 DRtg (51st percentile), -2.2 net rating (44th percentile)

I will continue to voice my concern about our regular starting lineup and lineups w/ KP as single big. We're in trouble if this trend continues into the postseason since our regular starting five will account for at least 40% of our lineups in the playoffs if they are all healthy. We also would rather start halves strongly than have to play an entire game uphill.

I don't know if the answer is to start Horford and have Holiday come off the bench but it's moot since Joe won't do that anyway. I just hope they fix whatever's ailing the starting unit which was awesome last season. Our better games have come when one or two of our key guys were missing.

(Porziņģis w/ Kornet numbers are even more staggering -- 99th percentile O, 99th percentile D, 100th percentile net -- but on far fewer possessions.)

JT will play the opposing center on defense in the playoff
This will fix the starting lineup as this is what Al is doing on defense

We are playing cute in the regular season so JT would not have to bang with the big bodies all season

Shooting has been the bigger problem with the starters though their defense has been subpar too.

Sean Grande:

The Celtics return home tonight after an unprecedented trip. 6 wins in 6 games, all by double digits.

They're having the franchise's best road season and one of the best in the game's history.

But...it's the 5th time they've come home after a long trip this year and, yeah...

Image

n those four home losses, the Celtics allowed 1.226 points/possession...which would be easily the worst defense in the league.

In their other 32 home games, the Celtics have allowed 1.108 points/possession, which would be top

Bodes well for the playoffs. No road trips that extend to more than 2 games. Well, there's one scenario -- Cs sweep the conference finals against a non-Cavs team then meet OKC in the Finals. C's will come back to Boston after 4 games on the road.

I think the team actually values the G league playoffs. The Maine C's played last night and then again tomorrow. Doubt they suit up JDD and DrewPete tonight

Maybe they just want their bases covered. Holiday and Brown could both be OUT and they just want insurance bodies in case of foul trouble, in-game injury or whatever. Agree that likelihood of them actually playing is super low.

Even with all the QUESTIONABLES out, Cs can come out with…

White | Hauser | Craig | Tatum | Kornet
Pritchard | Scheierman | Tillman | Queta

Peterson and Davison have been upgraded to AVAILABLE. Norris and Walsh remain OUT. No change in status for the main rotation guys, per latest IR.
