Game 76: Bucks at Sixers - 4/3/25 - 6:00 - FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Wed Apr 2, 2025 2:08 pm

Sixers are tanking HARD and have lost 9 straight. This is the start of a Thursday/Saturday/Sunday road trip. I would sit Giannis in this one and one of the weekend games as well.

We opened the season in Philly 161 days ago, an easy Bucks win. Sixers were without, surprise, Embiid and George.

As usual please keep the discussion in this thread on this game only. Thanks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We may have found the blueprint for success yesterday.

We lost the rebounding battle(also, only 3 offensive rebounds). We took only 74 shots, Suns took 92. We lost the turnover battle as well, and won.

We just need to shoot 68% or better over all, go 93% from the free throw line. have 5 more blocks than the other team and hope the 16 extra three pointers the other team takes, don't fall that night... Win by 10ish rinse and repeat.

Very sustainable.

Bobby's only got 3 more games on his suspension, I think. His pursuit of rebounds has been sorely missed.

I don't want to give anybody false hope, because I don't have much to give, but if we get guys back for the playoffs, we're going to have a very different looking team than we've had the past few weeks. Will Doc play the right guys? Doc will not.

Verrrry sustainable.

It was fun to get that win, but this needs to be the overarching theme. Every team we play gets up more shots than us as of late. Here's to hoping we buck that trend but Philly is chucking right now. I could see them getting 20+ more shots than we do.

Ya, I have no hope that Doc has learned anything. I expect Prince to continue to start. I expect Rollins to be relegated to the bench. I expect Kuzma to continue to be featured on offense because....he's athletic.

Right. Certainly nothing is going to change with 7 games to go and 16 days before the playoffs start.

Rollins hitting his shots was great, but that late drive he had was a better illustration of his potential. Right handed player getting the corner on a longer defender going left without a ball screen and then finishing with his left over the big. Looked like he was hovering. Hell of a take at a hell of a time. I had just been thinking, "Somebody's got to make a play, and I don't know if anybody other than Giannis can do it." Big moment.

100%. Stan Van Gundy was also really impressed with that move.

Pistons probably are going to lose against OKC tonight. 3 guys suspended and Cade doubtful. OKC doesnt seems to be resting guys at first glance at injury report.

Lets get that 5th seed, boys!!!

If we don't get to 5 for Pacers revenge, I almost want us to drop to the play-in and get a crack at the defending champs. Not because I think we have a better chance against them than against the Knicks, just because I would more love to win that series.

Up to 250 to 1 to win the finals. Great value!

I'm kinda indifferent

beating the pacers is more likely and would be incredibly satisfying, but losing to them would be torture

a loss to the knicks wouldn't be quite as painful and the national respect giannis/the-team would get, with a win, would be 10x more than from beating the pacers -- and I'd also rather face boston than clevland in the 2nd round

You know, I'll take Horts's workaday hijinks over the 17th dimensional chest of Daryl Morey. Go Bucks.

It's was the type of play we're desperate for every year come playoff time.

Hard to see us losing to a tanking Sixers team but I bet we’ll try hard to
