Shame about the first 30 but his back half of the season has been terrific. Playing very, very well.

If we did the trade over the Summer, we're probably a top 5 seed. Doesn't mean I want to run this entire thing back lol, but chemistry matters

It took a lot of trial and error but they’ve seemed to have found the right combos and found what works best for them. Sometimes it’s as simple as benching players who are net negatives every time they step on the court (Jaime and Terry) for guys who just want to come in and play hard and play their role (Pelle and KA) and putting the bulk of the load on your best players. Now they have to keep building on that once Wiggins comes back. Don’t use him like he’s Jimmy, use him as a 3rd option who also locking in defensively.

C Ware C/PF Niko
PF/C Bam PF Slo Mo
SF Wiggins SF Highsmith
SG Larrson SG Burks
PG Herro PG Mitchell
This is our playoff 10 and starting lineup. One thing I noticed last night is how well Slo Mo played when he has a wing who can do the dirty work like Highsmith that allows him to play as a jumbo PG. Spo has made some really good adjustments down the stretch finding the right synergy with the groupings.
Windy and other reported it wasn't his system. The organization decided to lean towards analytics and got rid of his assistant and hired assistance from over seas. That it was only a matter of time they fired the headcoachMettaWorldPanda wrote:Slot Machine wrote:MettaWorldPanda wrote:Considering how Spoelstra is backing Jenkins I don't see us going anywhere near Ja Morant in trade. It looks like Memphis fired Jenkins to appease Morant.
Memphis didn’t fire Jenkins to appease Morant. This past offseason, Memphis FO forced Jenkins to fire 5 assistant who’d been with him his entire time in Memphis. Memphis then hired a Spurs staffer and Thomas Iisalo from Europe who remade the offense into one that greatly reduced ball screens and handoffs in favor of quick passes/decisions.
This new system is what Memphis FO essentially forced Jenkins to install last year by undermining him with two new assistants. This new system is also what Morant has an issue with, not Jenkins. Jenkins was seen as essentially a lame duck by the players since the FO was dictating who his assistants would be.
The ESPN article posted today about his firing goes into detail about this. Seems like their FO overstepped imo.
That’s definitely a lot more detail. When it came out about Morant’s touches it looked like they were making it seem Morant was not happy with Jenkins new system.

If we are trading Slo Mo then Memphis needs to give the Heat 3 1st roundersMettaWorldPanda wrote:
It's a worthy gamble if Mike Miller can broker this deal and make it beneficial for all sides. Morant could definitely be sold on the Heat culture umbrella being what's best for him and his image. Memphis could just be at the point of looking for a fresh start and considering all of Morant's previous transgressions there might not be a whole lot of suitors out there willing to over pay due to that. Even if we don't get a lottery pick this year we can still get a deal done. Now when I say the price is right I'm meaning not involving Ware and Herro of course. The build is not going to be complete unless all our sum parts are intact when he comes on board.
If we make playoffs we can trade.
JJJ
Slo Mo and or Niko + Highsmith
Rozier
2025 GSW 1st
2029 and 2031 1st rd picks
* Players involved in the above deal match the salary requirements for Morant's 39 million dollar contract
*If we don't make playoffs we will have extra lottery pick in 2025 and 1st rd picks will be forwarded to 2030 and 2032.

But Bam can never develop a 3 ball and was wasting everyone's time further evolving his game. Bam peaked at 26. I know bc I read it on here.
Did I do that right?

I could be wrong though.
