I'm interested to see him with the big team next year. Very curious if he can play the speed 5 or if he's a 4. If he can play the speed 5 he might be able to play with either Jimmy or Dray. But would make it really hard to play JK as well.

SC Warriors had other defensive player of the year in the G League.

I don't think those players made the GSW roster.

^I looked at the overall list of past winners and recognized only a few making the NBA (briefly) but one notable (to us) is GPII.

I'd love it, since the Jazz are sandbagging so hard if they got the 2nd pick in the lottery

Well the guy is on the roster now and got some minutes at the end of the Denver game.

We will see if he pops in practice to earn minutes.

Klay is really awful ... :( Hard to watch him sort of drift around....rarely sprinting to open shots. Really a combination of what it's like to not have Curry taking all the attention and a guy that just seems to be jogging to the end of his career.

In the Heat play-in game, Wiggs had a nice all-around performance, 20 points on 8-20, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Happy for him, for what probably felt like a dismal season for much of it.

Remember when everyone here was saying we couldn't draft Davion Mitchell because he'd never be able to shoot? Well, he's still not a great free-throw shooter, but this season he shot 52.5% from 2 and 40% from 3 (!), and had a ~3:1 A:TO ratio. Tonight in the same game, he scored 15 points on 5-5 shooting with 8 assists.

Lavine dribbles out the clock at the end of the 3rd when his team was down 20.....so thankful we did not get the guy, pure loser and bad player.

curry is a floor and ceiling riser for most of the players in the league. lavine would have not looked that bad in GS.
sancto is really an all-time dumpster fire, which has to take into consideration, not just for him.

lavine would be taking the mins away from Hield and thats it. 22 pts on good % but not doing anything else. And we would have lost to mavs as 10th seed

infact I always saw lavine as the main SG instead of podz/moody/hield in a trade with klay's expiring last season, not as the alternative to jimmy.
plug those 22 pts on good % in this team and you have the new NBA champions for the 2024-25 season.

we never had the salary room to get him anyway, he is a 20M player that gets paid to 50M just very bad value contract

Niang pretty effective rotation player. Can shoot and uses his bulk to avoid getting abused on defense by more athletic players.

What was the deal, he played at Santa Cruz but some other team signed him, never played for GSW?

He’s scored around 20 off the bench. Game isn’t close without contributions from him and Levert.

I’d love Wiggins to get a nice playoff run. OTOH, if the Heat lose because Herro missed a free throw, that’s good too.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Wiggins was +15, high for the Heat and probably the game.

Niang was +6, with 20-4-4.

Mitchell was +9, probably from those 3 overtime 3-pointers.

SloMo was -8, though he hit two big jumpers, a 3 pointer and a 3 which was later ruled a two at the end of the shot clock.

Miami Cleveland will have another former Warrior Ty Jerome, Cavs’ 6th man, one of the best this year. Hmm, Warriors probably could have used them this season.
