Vic effed up leaving Maddie on the bench for so long.. if you're going to be in South Carolina you got to do it in the first half. Got to get up early cuz Dawn is going to come out storming in the third quarter.

This one is probably over but damn it was fun listening to Sue and Diana and Chelsea.

As good as it was with Chelsea, Sue, Diana and Allisha is even better.

Diana asking Allish how excited she is to play with Griner is just good fun for the whole family

Certainly didn't expect two blowouts, but you got to be excited for the title game matchup.

Not gonna hit Caitlin Clark ratings, but should be a good one.

Exciting to see Joyce Edwards get rolling when she's been having a slow tournament. Edwards v. Strong is going to be a good one Sunday and hopefully for years to come.

When the 2024 season ended, we talked on this board about how South Carolina & UConn were the two big favorites entering this year. The regular season put a bit of doubt into that forecast, but it turned out to be spot on. Hurrah for us.

The final is pick 'em.

No one cares about the championship? UCONN just massacred South Carolina. Zzzzzzzzzz.

It was quite a performance.

Hated it for Dawn, but happy for Paige.

Sarah Strong is going to be the next superstar. Her freshman year compares favorably to the all-time greats.

The final wasn't pick 'em!

I haven't been watching NCAAW for long, but UConn over the past 2 games was easily the best team that I have seen. There would have been no Caitlin Clark Cinderella story if her Iowa squads had to play this unit. Paige, Fudd, Strong ... just yikes. Paige will be the #1 WNBA pick, Strong would be the #1 choice if she were going pro and Paige were not (actually, now that I think of it, she probably would be selected *over* Paige), and Fudd was projected to be the #3 pick this year before deciding to play another year at UConn.

I should have thought harder about that before making my prediction.

I'll be surprised if she doesn't win at least one WNBA MVP award, and not at all surprised if she wins multiple times. She's that good.

Luigi's gonna get a 2nd 4-peat with Strong and then hang 'em up, I think.

It could have gone either way but I was a little disappointed that Strong didn't get MOP. Would have been well deserved and also would have given her a chance to get 4 of them like Stewie.

Obviously predicting four titles in any era, especially this one, is a long shot, but man if there is a player that could pull it off.....

jeez, i hope uconn doesn't win four in a row
don't we want greater parity in this sport?
its boring if the same team wins every year

Obviously, I wouldn't predict it or hope for it.

But it will be very rare that Strong won't be the best player on the court, so if Geno keeps her surrounded with talent they're going to have a chance every year.

With zero knock intended on Paige, of whom I am a big fan, this is how sports fans think -

Paige in her semifinals - 17 points on 50% TS%, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 TO
Cooper in his semifinals - 27 points on 60% TS%, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks, 1 TO

The narratives -

1) "Paige has cemented her legacy"
2) "Cooper's great but he needs to learn how to win."

Give him Sarah Strong, and oh baby, you'd see him win.

Olivia Miles to TCU was pretty heavily speculated.

Ta'Niya Latson to South Carolina makes a lot of sense.
That guard rotation will be pretty interesting, though. Raven Johnson, Fulwiley, Tessa, and Maddie McDaniel all coming back.

Dawn always works it out, but I can't imagine you bring the nation's leading scorer in without starting and getting heavy minutes. And clearly, they need it with all the times this year they struggled to score.

Congrats to UConn. I never understood why they weren't a 1 seed. I was disappointed my Bruins got blown out, but even though I thought they'd earned the top overall seed with their consistency through the year, I thought they might struggle if one of the uber-talents (UConn, Carolina, USC) found another gear.

Azzi rised up the boards a lot of mocks, taking into account her injury history had her as around the #8-#10 range but because of her recent play the last mocks I saw had her more in the 4th to 7th range (Paige, Miles and Malonga was the projection until Miles decided to return) but her shot creation ability really came on in the tournament especially with how UCLA and SC decided to go all in defensively by stopping paige

Also Ta'Niya Latson, the leading scorer in the entire NCAA, playing for FSU (so in the SEC, not a mid-major or the big east) joined South Carolina

That's a huge get for them because their lack of having a perimeter attacker was a major crutch to their almost perfect team design

Also Gianna Kneepkens might join as well, she's visiting SC, Texas, Oklahoma and UCLA. Huge impact on what could happen depending where she goes
