Clicky-click. It was the usual spit balling.

McBride for Ware seems like it could be interesting for both also. McBride would be a perfect partner for Herro in the backcourt, and Jovic could start next to Bam if they don't draft a big. We could replace the spark Deuce gave us off the bench by going big and moving Hart to the 2nd unit, with Kolek/Payne & Shamet/Wright backfilling the backup guard minutes.

Homer view, but I genuinely think Huk has more upside than Mark Williams

Williams or Ware are intriguing but unnecessary with Hukporti here and healthy to go next season.
I would like to add a 3/4 3&D player to the bench who has Thibs’s trust.

And is this a blind spot for Rose too?

You're asking an old man to change his tunes especially one that has a huge ego? Last time this happened was Tom Coughlin and they won the SB.

If the price for Ware was just Duce you do it in a heartbeat. Ware is a 7 footer who can stretch the floor and protect the rim - allowing us to play 5 out with KAT while still having rim protection. Miami just isn’t close enough to competing to trade upside for fit even if Duce is the ideal 3 and D type of point guard to pair with Herro. Knowing the way Heat organization thinks, they feel they can develop a Duce level player and their track record supports it.
Williams is intriguing, but I don’t see a path forward there. Mainly, it’s going to be hard to fit his $6mm number under the 2nd apron without trading one of the top-7. On top of that, given the lack of center depth in the marketplace, someone will likely offer something more attractive than Pacome and the protected WAS 1st.

The most likely outcome is:
C) potentially flipping Dadiet for a higher floor guy closer to RFA - maybe a guy like Can Whitmore
.

I think it's more likely that we dump Dadiet using a second round to open a roster spot

I could see dumping Dadiet but don’t see needing to add a 2nd. We knew he was going to be a development prospect.
It’s unfortunate that we threw away a draft pick on the heels of overpaying for Bridges.

The most likely outcome is:
A) 8th man type acquired with the taxpayer MLE
B) trading for a high 2nd rd pick

I don’t see Thibs losing his job this summer, even if they lose in a blowout series against Boston in round 2. But his seat will be very hot heading into next year.
Also - if teams call about Bridges or Anunoby, I think NY will listen but the price will be high.
