It also looks like the defender was shoving him down low throughout the play which could have created the extra step. Either way, the officials swallowed their whistle, and Queen made a difficult shot.

One kid I liked watching so far was Ejiofor from St Johns. He's not even
on the Tank big board. I like how he played.

Edgecomb look pretty good against Duke even if Baylor was overmatched.

I forgot Al Jefferson. That's who he moves like on offense. Queen passes better.

He'll be a liability on defense, but he's a bucket who will win his matchup.

I think Queen projects more to Zach Randolph. He doesn't seem as much of a post player on offense as Al Jefferson. A lot of the players he seems similar to did have long NBA careers.

I know I tell this story a lot.

I met Zach Randolph in the off-season when he had a bad reputation from punching a teammate during the season. Z Bo's character was in question. He wasn't getting starter minutes. He was Portland's supposed problem child at that time.

I told Zach Randolph that day that I thought one day he would be an All-Star.

I won't make that lofty claim for Derik Queen until (or, unless) the Terps get to the Final Four (or beyond.)
